A simple plate being put down a hard face in the kitchen. Its close-miced but there`s still some room ambience on it.

Space ambience: ore mine, deep atmosphere, alien sounds. Hard impact sounds, mechanical screams. Recorded and mastered through audio software, no factory samples. Made as an experiment into sound design, here is the result. Recorded in ireland. Made by michaelsoundfx.

At the beach, waves hitting up against rocks. Some wind noise.

A really nice sound i made in sound forge one day. It's hard to describe really. Um, it's short. . . Just listen and enjoy. . . . . . . . . .

Rain: this is a very subtle rain sound. It is not sharp but it is very constant. The droplets are hitting hard ground. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. This sound is great to add volume to an already existing rain-ambience.

Ambience recorded at a wine tasting evening, around 15 people to begin with, increasing to about 20 in total towards the end. Recorded using a single akg c451, run through an sqn 4s mini, into a tascam dr680d. Sorry it's not nice and stereo, but it was just recorded after an interview to give us something to work with in post. Might be panned hard left, too. Uploaded raw, thought it might be useful for someone!.

Recorded hail falling outside my window - window is open. Recorded with zoom h5's internal xy mics.

Thunder with water falling on cement, crackling bright sound of water hitting hard floor, spatial environment, ambience. Recorded with the tascam dr-40 built-in microphones in stereo, processed in pro tools 10, bounced to a 48khz 24bit wav file.

Cold booting a computer built inside of a milk crate, allowing it to start up and start running a stress test, and then hard shutting it down by flicking the power supply switch. Multiple computers were running in this room and this recording is unedited, so there's some extra background noise. Sorry.

This is the closest i could get to the ambient sound of a borg cube. I tried hard to replicate it and this is the end result. Originally recorded on an old zoom h2.

A hostage, a lightbulb, a camera. A hard conversation and a lot of uncomforable silences. This sound is part of the weird roomtones and silences soundpack - a compilation of synthetic ambiences and silences meant to enhance a neutral atmosphere in the desired direction. The filenames usually describe an imaginary situation that i imagine would need the particular roomtone, often influenced by movies i've watched. >>>> you can use the soundpack as you wish, but i'd be happy to hear your feedback. This is a sound of a mercedes benz 709d mini bus driving on a really hard icy road. It was a rattly old bus, everything squeaked and rumbled on it. I videoed this journey with my canon powershot a460 digital camera, i simply took the sound from the video. It's a good sound, it turned out well thanks to the winter weather, and the rough icy road. Footsteps. . . Note:. These are no field recordings but handmade walking sounds in different speeds and manners intended for game creation. Most of them you can loop. They are recorded as dry as possible so you should add the ambience you like. How to make these:. 1. First empty two bottles of the famous spanish brandy lepanto. 2. Keep the korks - they have a very special sound different from the korks of wine bottles. 3. Then, if you're still able to hit (maybe you shouldn't drink the brandy alone and at once), fill things in a flat bowl or a plate - f. E. Pepper grains or salt. 4. Step the korks in the bowl and record it. You may also - as i did - step the korks on other things like a ventilator. 5. Compress the sounds hard but limit them to -4 db (as they sound not naturally if they are to loud).

This sound effect was captured by me on video on my canon digital powershot a460 camera, i stood just above the motorway at charing cross glasgow scotland and captured this sound from the jam packed motorway, both sides were busy, i even caught the sound of a police car coming along the hard shoulder. I simply took the sound from my video. This was recorded during a harsh storm here i stockholm. Harsh winds blowing thru a small forest. Details such as leaves rustling and hard stormy winds are key components in this recording. It sounds like a storm is approaching what do you think?. I honestly don't remember what i did in post. . . I think i removed alot of bass/rumble, added an expander to remove some unwanted noise to help the winds and leaves to stand out. I probably used rx to clean up some unwanted noises. Equipment:zoom h5 + sony ecm 6080s condenser mic. This was a test to see how the stereo configuration on the ecm 6080s sounded like. I really like it but i would prefer an ab configuration with 2 dpa 2011 or even 2 4060. . . I like the sound it was able to capture even if it may be a little to "centered". I probably will try to use it for my future hiking trips to capture rivers and general ambiances, if i get something special i will upload them here. Hope you like it.

As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully don't turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. Wow, this is a long one. . . But a good one. Let me set the scene for this audio because i am a nerd. . . Burbank, california. A large apartment/condominium complex with an open courtyard and a swimming pool and hot tub. Now, for some reason in la, nobody ever seems to actually use pools or hot tubs anymore so it's not hard to get clean audio. So, from beginning to end you will basically hear me turn the automatic shutoff dial on the wall, walk to the hot tub, get in the hot tub, and sit in various positions for extended periods of time. I was alone for the entire experience (wife was at work) and nobody joined. It's very clean audio and safe for all production. Recorded on 11/20/2018 in burbank, ca. Enjoy,. Christopher c. Courter.
