I made a simple alarm sound on logic pro x by layering 2 alarm sounds on top of each other to give a more realistic panic alarm sound. Thought i'd share it with the community as i found it really useful in some of my videos.

This is my new rotary-valved cornet with german valves and a 1913 holton bell all plated in gold and white rhodium. The sample was recorded in a large church in north carolina. With the help of bill jones i designed this horn and dr. Jones built it. It starts loud at a forte but then plays some quieter phrases around a mezzo piano.

Had a fire drill in uni today so thought i would have a shot at recording it incase any of you have a use for it. I recorded it using a tascam dr-40, 44. 1khz 24bit.

America the Beautiful performed by a brass quintet of the United States Navy Band. In the original video, the five performing musicians are dressed in full dress blues. Instrumentation: one French horn, two trumpets, one trombone, and one tuba.

A sort of renaissancey version of the first two lines of ding dong merrily on high, composed on cubase with samples from the edirol orchestral plug in (a bit of harp, french horn, alto flute and violin with kettle drum and sleigh bell percussion). Exciting music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt!. I came up with the staccato-strings first and developed the music from there. Added a string-melody and later on a minor melody on french horn. Hammered two chords on piano in the back. Got a mysterious detective feel to it i think. So i named the tune "detective hawkeye". Could be useful in anything dark, eerie, spooky, creepy, scary, horrific,mysterious, crime-ish, thrilling or whatever comes to mind. I recorded one usable minute of passing train, moving slowly through town. I thought the local engine served just one customer, a major metal scrap yard, but the half-dozen box cars on this engine don't fit that model. Considering the overall decrepit condition of american railways, this one isn't bad.
