Bird singing recorded at around 3:40 am with yinger bm 800 ldc-microphone in front of my open window, i had to add some noise reduction because of my computer fan with reafir (there isn't really much of that noise left, atleast if compared to original). You can also maybe hear ocassional space bar-click sound maybe twice, but it's still pretty useable clip in my opinion, i recorded this just to test my new microphone, and because i couldn't sleep because of the loud birds singing, and in revenge i recorded that with my shiny new yinger bm800. For a podcast project i needed some coffee related sounds so i recorded our techni-vorm moccamaster, filter coffee machine as it brewed a full pot. Our version has a metallic thermos jug rather than the standard glass jug. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. My swiss army knife of sounds: i recorded myself falling over a plastic stool for an episode of our comedy podcast, mission: rejected. It was supposed to be a one-time sound, where a clumsy analyst named stuart gilligan trips while getting out of his chair. I've used this sound two dozen times since, for fights, trips, tearing pictures off walls, throwing people out of windows, and plenty of others. I can't explain why this sound amuses me so much, but i hope others can find use and amusement in it as well.

It's a recording of audience applauding during a gig. You can hear around 50 people clapping their hands, sometimes shouting. There is also sometimes a piece of music or the vocalist's speech audible. I tried to eliminate any music, without badly trimming the sound. I used some fade-ins and fade-outs here and there. The sound was recorded with a zoom h2's rear stereo mics, originally 48000hz/24-bit wav. Edited and converted to flac using audacity. I hope you'll enjoy this sound and find it usefull.

A recording of dry leaves skittering across an asphalt parking lot around 2:00pm on a friday afternoon. I feel this recording captures the serene, but sad, sound of dry leaves in the fall being scattered about by a strong north wind. Recording made with the marantz pmd661-oade, and the incredible beyerdynamic me58 microphone. Since this particular microphone is a dynamic microphone, i had to crank my record gain up to 7. I was really happily surprised that the sometimes un-listenable wind-roar and wind rumble is barely noticeable on this recording. . . . . . Emjoy this autumn soundscape.

Soothing lake waves rolling onto beach with a bird call 3/4 through the clip. Not sure of the bird but it was grey and the size of a grey jay/whiskey jack/camp robber but a different spices as it had a black and white saddle on its back and a different head than a grey jay. I was not fast enough to get a photo of the bird. The sound was captured by a rode videomic on a cannon vixia hg20. I broke the sound out with corel videostudio pro 8 and saved the file. This stereo recording was made on november 23, 2014 in grays harbor washington during a rare thunderstorm. The clip contains rain falling on a wooden deck and recurring peals of thunder both near and far. This original recording was made using a zoom h-6 handy recorder with zoom stereo xy microphone. The track was edited in audacity 2. 0. 6 to remove a few artifacts. Total run time for this wav file is: 8:29. This is my first upload. I am hearing impaired and new to field audio recording. A close up recording of an overheating usb slot-loading cd/dvd drive that repeatedly tries to spin up, but fails and makes some clicking noises. Note on low frequency sounds: i recorded this with a zoom h1n recorder at about 2cm distance from the drive slot. I held the recorder in my hand and rested my hand on the surface the cd drive was resting on, so there is somewhat of a mechanical connection between the drive's vibrations and the recorder. I believe this led to the low frequency parts of the recording. About halfway through the recording, i lifted the drive up with my other hand and held it at a 30degree angle to the surface and recorder. As you can hear in the recording, this made it spin up a little longer before failing and spinning back down.

Boring sound. . . Neuron patch (?). . . Inspired by nlc squid axon (i have saved some hp for that one!) i have patched up a simple 2 stage asr with 2 s/h. Most of the time it plays its atonal melody, but when the patch is stimulated (by a sloth lfo) feedback opens up. I can adjust the sensitivity in different ways (so i can simulate the intake of drugs. . . ). The sound from the oscs goes though vcfs with some resonance. The vcfs are controlled by the same sloth lfo. My neuron patch. . . No hands during recording. My favourite part is when nothing happens - for almost 1 min?! but you can hear the filter working via the vcfs. The cv must be in some strange area.

My small dog was running around outside and got pretty hot. When i brought her in, she began lapping up water at a fast pace. She's also a little sniffly so it got some nice sniffle noises in there too. I feel like this could work well for plenty of different character shots, from a monster, to a comedy-type shot of someone eating something like noodles, to a dog drinking water in an animation. A small collection of gurgles from a small water dropper/pipette. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. Very short tick. This is a sound i found on my forest recording. Something must have fallen on my mics. It made a very nice, clean and natural tick sound. I cut it out from the ambient sound normalized, made a little fade-out and saved as 24-bit flac. The original recording was 96khz/24bit.

I recorded this sound at home, in the belgian country during the end of a storm (but there is no thunder sound). You can hear rain falling and a river flowing nearby. Very relaxing and useful if you need a rainy ambient sound. I recorded this simply with a tascam dr-40 (internal mics) and just edit it properly with audacity.

Synthesized train horn using moderately manipulated french horn ensemble library. The train sounds like it is coming toward the listener through pitch and volume effects.
