Recorded in fryers forest in country victoria, australia. I placed a my mics on the end of a jetty facing across the small "lake" towards a house where we had our new year's eve celebrations. It was a small gathering of around a dozen people, there was no countdown, in fact midnight crept up on us! in the far distance you can hear fireworks in castlemaine a small town about 15 km away. Recorded with and ms setup using a sennheiser 416 and a sennheiser mkh 30 into my zoom h4n.

A recording of an eastern phoebe, made near a creek in a typical midwest oak/hickory/sycamore forest. This very unique, two-note call, which you may have heard before, is, in my opinion, very beautiful despite it's short duration. Despite this bird's non-colorful plumage, his song makes up for it!. Recording made on april 10th, 2013 around 6:45 in the morning about 15 feet from a small creek. My recorder, the zoom h4n, was mounted on a tripod in the middle of the creek. I was using the h4n's built-in microphones. Volume level was 80 (on a scale of 100 being the maximum).

Water rolling down a creek, over rocks and around a fallen tree, in stereo, with the water sounds moving from one ear to the other ear. We got in the van and drove down a rural road in arkansas, united states. On the side of that road, we found whittington creek. We continued and found where this creek enters a man-made underground tunnel in the city of hot springs. This sound is used in the beginning of a 7-minute video of our adventure:http://elingreso. Autorickshaw: a field recording made in bangalore india, of a ride home in an autorickshaw. This was long before the days of electric autorickshaws (~year 2000), so the recording is the sound of the nasty, polluting-well-above-its-weight two-stroke petrol-engine variety. I was going home from a night out with with several friends spread out over three autorickshaws and sometimes you can hear the others in the recording. (the picture is not the actual autorickshaw in the recording, the photo is from pakistan. I didn't get a photo of the one in the recording, but you get the idea. ). Recorded on sony minidisc.

Oh! How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning, a song by Irving Berlin produced on U.S. Army time for the Army benefit show, Yip Yip Yaphank (1918). I believe the version used in the show used the opening verse from the Irving Kaufman recording; the opening verse here was probably made for publication. This is Edison Blue Amberol #3639, which was created using Edison Diamond Disc matrix #6287.

The mechanical noise and signature "chord" associated with the "mac mini (2010 model)" upon startup/boot. Brief mechanical motor and clicking noises followed by the famed sustained f sharp major chord (detuned 30 cents flat) being projected over low quality, built-in speakers. Mechanical noise has defined pitch and is predominantly in the mid-high frequencies. Recorded on zoom h2n, in small, empty room. Audio clip normalized in post-processing.

I recorded a viola for a theatre project. I recorded it in a dry room, close mic with a neumann tlm103. Some samples are just noises of the bow on the c or d string, then once in a while creating overtones, other samples contain some processing with echoboy by soundtoys. Amazing plugins they make!. Feel free to use the samples in any way you like. If you use it in a project i am always curious to hear it. Comments and questions welcome.

This is a recording of applause at the end of the concert in a large auditorium. The conductor and performers walk off and on stage for multiple bows throughout. This is recorded with a small field recorder from a seat in the audience. The file politely clips in parts as people near me clapped, but it's not noticeable. The cough in the beginning is easily cut out, the file loops really well, so you can just delete that section, and it will sound continuous.

This was recorded in a small, underground brick wine cellar during a wine-tasting event in europe. While the language spoken in the clip is slovak, it's impossible to pick out any indivdiual conversations, so this could be used as background noise in any project. At 0:57, there is a distinct "ano" (slovak for yes) which you may wish to edit out if you need the full minute. Mp3 recorded at 320 kps on a tascam dr-1 stereo mic recorder.

I typed quite slow in the beginning if you need to edit out and synch with your footage, if you just want typing sound in the background i think the best is in the end of the clip. The mouse clicking comes later in the clip. I've mixed it a bit but might need more mixing. I've used freesound for 7 years now and i thought i would pay back for all the good sounds that i've used from freesound. More will come <3.

Recording using 2 x gefell m930 in ortf stereo. No processing. Use freely. Would appreciate attribution if you use it, but not mandatory.

This is reminiscent of the sound playing in friday the 13th pt. 2 when jenny puts on pamela vorhees old sweater and pretends to be her in an attempt to trick jason. One of the lines she repeats during the scene is "jason, mother is talking to you", hence the file name. This was made in fl studio using morphine. Its got a very eerie sound to it thats for sure. Use it in you horror score or for whatever you like.

Recording of clothes in the dry cleaner for a bit longer than one hour. I recorded this in order to use for my newborn to be able to fall asleep as white noise sound. Works pretty fine because of the repetition;at the end of the recording, the machine stops and restarts a few times for a few short cycles. Recorded with zoom h4n in mp3 format. Reduced background noise in audition. Exported to ogg because of large file size.

Recording of a stone mill wheel grinding dry corn for flour. It's in a little stone outhouse, a generator outside powers a belt driven stone wheel. The recording changes in perspective and cycles from the lower part (a wooden crate to receive the milled flour) to the upper element (a large plastic funnel in which the dried corn grains are tipped) and then back down again. 48k/16 bitrecorded in 2010.

Regular diatonic tuning 72-tone. A regular diatonic tuning is five "whole tones", T, and two half tones, S, arranged in any rotation of TTSTTTS. In 12-tone, T=200 cents and S=100 cents. In 72-tone, T=233.3 cents and S=16.6. This is that scale: C = 0 D = 233.3 E# = 466.6 F# = 483.3 G = 716.6 A = 950 B# = 1183.3 C = 1200

This is a merry go round that was at the louisville zoo in kentucky, usa. It was actually specifically called a mary lee we go around, created by a mary lee and her husband in 1919. I’m not sure if the music is similar or the same as the music used when it was made but it seems like if it wasn’t it was made to feel like it could be. There’s music in this recording as well as some people talking in the background.
