I recorded this sound in a large greenhouse where all the plants were getting watered by an automatic system. You can hear the leaves getting hit by water. It might also sound like rain to some if you disregard the background noise of the water rushing through the little streams.

Recorded on a h4n with a "deadcat" wind-sock, this short clip was recorded during the june 2016 rainstorm behind our house in redland bay in se qld. There is a very slight murmur of traffic that was hard to avoid, otherwise just the rushing of leaves in the gum-trees.

Another recording of me walking around my neighborhood using my cane. You can hear sounds of me hitting my cane against concrete, some off-distance humming of cars or planes descending overhead, and me hitting metal objects (i forgot what they were) with my cane. Also, crunching through leaves and other tree branches.

Assortment of birdsong from the woods in september, i can't say which birds but i remember seeing the magpies and the rooks, there's probably some seabirds in there too given the area i recorded it inrecorded on zoom h2n.

A walk in the woods of the lakes of monticchio (italy), in the distance a motorcycle disturbs the quiet. It's drizzling, july 2022. At one point i stop and listen to the rain making its way through the branches and leaves of the trees. And at some point, someone urinates near a tree.

A stark soundscape of the icy wind swooshing through dry oak leaves on the edge of a midwestern lake. Plus, as an added bonus, from out of nowhere two fast-moving canada geese come storming through at only about 25 feet from where i was standing!. I was very lucky because they are so close that at some point during this recording, you can actually hear the sound of the wind being pummeled by the beating of the geese's very large, strong wings. Equipment: sound devices mixpre-6 and sennheiser mkh 416 inside a blimp. Recorded on monday december 28 2020 around 1:30 in the afternoon. Outside temp was 37 degrees and the wind was blowing steady at 10 to 15 miles an hour.

A stereo recording made at 4:50pm on saturday september 12th 2015 of the ambience of a small town near a playground. Up until this day, the weather here in the midwest had been your typical high-heat high-humidity. But, the day before this field-recording was made the wonderful jet-stream had dropped down on us, a cool, mass of less-humid canadian air, making the leaves sing through the trees with the lifting of the northwest breezes. A gentle tinkling wind-chime can be heard from 1:05 to 1:20. Recording made in stereo with marantz pmd661 and two sennheiser me66 microphones mounted on tripods about 4 feet off the ground.

A recording of the peaceful mid-autumn woods here in the midwest usa. I recorded this on november 15 2022 using a sony pcm d-100. In the northern hemisphere now, days now are much shorter, and much colder. Which means all of our energetic summer warblers and other migrants have long gone south, and are no doubt lounging around in a palm tree or something just gorging on insects. Here is the midwest woods? sure the summer birds are gone, but, the beauty of this season is that now you can hear the birds that never leave us. No matter how brutal the winter is, the blue jays, the black-capped chickadees, the many species of woodpeckers and the belted kingfishers never leave. This creates a different, but beautiful soundscape in the woods. For this particular recording, since i've found through years of roaming the woods, birds have a tendancy to be near water, i placed the recorder on a creekbank about 15 feet from a shallow creek. Now of course i could have gotten closer to the creek but by now the entire woods is a carpet of leaves -- this very slow-moving creek included. Which means the leaves had accumulated on thevery still creek water itself and i was concerned if i stepped on the leaves--thinking it was solid ground underneath, i would instead be "treated" to an ice cold pair of shoes and socks!. Among the highlights of this recording are:00:00:00 starting off with the loud blue jays1:56 black-capped chickadees with their active musical trills3:55 the very large and very loud pileated woodpeckers8:41--8:56 then again starting at 10:05 and running through10:40 the beautiful belted kingfisher with it's staccato-likerasp. Traffic passes on a tree-lined street in the early spring, before the leaves have sprouted. Birds sing and there are several minutes of ambience. Then, a siren can be heard in the distance and eventually, a big fire engine passes, siren blaring and engine roaring.

This is the sound of a bamboo being shaken lightly, originally i had meant to make the sound of a light wind but the sounds turned out too harsh. So i ended up being able to salvage the sound of a bush being shaken or moved through. For all those forest troopers, here you go.

The water source was curving beside the road and under a bridge, fading away. Intensity, rythm and acoustic of water and drops changing according to movements of road and body. I got caught in a freak rainstorm whilst hiking a bit ago, but luckily had packed my h6 in my bag and was able to get some good little rain snippets! there's some super close sounding droplets hitting leaves, some wider pouring rain, and a bit of hand-held noise unfortunately, but i figured there's a little something for everyone here!. Recorded on zoom h6n with xy 120 degree pair.

Found a big bush covered in white flowers with loads of bees buzzing all over it. Some good buzz noises here but unfortunately quite a bit of mic handling noise and the sound of the leaves brushing against the mic as i pushed it in close to try and stir up the bees a bit. Luckily i didn't get stung!.
