This sound was made in audacity using three rising sine waves at different frequencies which gets faster and faster. It can be looped to make an alarm.
Christmas day 2007 in ramsgate harbour. The weather was cold and misty with a bit of wind. The result is an eerie sound as the wind rattles the rigging of the yachts, enhanced by a couple of birds flying across the harbour making mournful squawks.
I make this sound with the sound of mouth that i accelerated (speed and tempo), inter-cut with a white noise accelerated. I had to clean the sound of the mouth and amplified it. Finally i broke the whole band at the end.

This is a modified version of "earthkiller background 1", the background noise inside a space station. I removed some upper midrange (1700 hz) to make it easier to mix with dialog.
I generated a square tone with audacity and applied a few effects to it, mostly wahwah i think, and faded in and out. If you repeat it, it makes a very believable sound for an old video game machine.

An old printer at work that was making a lot of noise, so i thought it would be cool to record it. I recorded the initial sound with an iphone5, reversed it with fl studio, and used the fruity convolver plugin to add the reverb.

We filled a glass bottle with water from the kitchen sink, then quickly turned the bottle upside-down. The water made a popping sound as it chugged out, making splashing sounds.
