6 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Mapex"

A reverse 20" mapex ride cymbal. Captured with a sure sm57. Noticeable lack of high end, however, it can still be used for song intros etc. (no reverb or any other effects were added to this sound).

I recorded these samples after recording a loop of the famous think beat. I used mapex big rock kick and toms and a mapex daisycutter snare along with zultan 15" raw hihat and a zultan 20" dark matter crash.

Mapex mars big rock recorded with one dynamic sennheiser e835 over the kick facing the snare (also known as "wurst" by moses schneider) with parallel compression and eq.

Mapex birch kit, akg d112's on the beater, and at the edge of the outside hole, both slightly off axis, with front skin off, and blanket over the kick !! also used the overhead sound when i bounced this down, so it has some sustain !! enjoy !!!.

Cymbals need some 15khz eq increase because of the dynamic microphone's treble roll-off. No copyrights, free for all uses. I recommend using native instruments battery to launch the samples. Each of the battery's cells can accept stacked multi-samples, and the kit can be played through an electronic drum kit through midi. Excellent results. Any comments, contact matias: matias. Three quick samples of the gear one mk1000 on kick (+ a single audio technica at2020 overhead on the rest of the kit). Recorded straight into a tascam us-1800 in a lousy room with a less-than-optimal 22" mapex kick drum. Each quick loop / snippet is 1) presented in mono / processed with compression and some eq (mostly a 6dbish scoop at around 300hz on the mk1000 and 80hz rolloff on the 2020 with about 5db less on the mk1000 than the 2020), then 2) presented exactly as recorded / no processing at all save normalization, mk1000 panned hard left channel, at2020 panned hard right. The first two samples are the mk1000 in the resonant head cutout, the third is the mk1000 positioned about 4" from the head and just about 2" from dead center of the drum.
