This was recorded from my windowsill facing onto a tarmac driveway in august 2012. There is the occasional tinkling sound of raindrops hitting a metal gate, some traffic noise, the occasional bit of thunder, and some shouts of people getting wet. At the end, raindrops start falling onto the recorder. This is fairly heavy rain by oxford standards; we probably get something like this only a couple of times a year. A recording made in mid june of 2017 near the ohio river from the bank of rosiclare illinois. The main sound is an angry killdeer that was constantly fussing at me for being too close to her nest. You'll also hear a johnboat plowing through the river, the wind through the leaves of a huge sycamore tree and various children, low in the distance, playing on a playground on this perfect 80 degree summer day. This is a recording of the doppler heart monitor that doctors use to check out baby's heart during pregnancy checkups. This was was made on february 28, 2007 at sutter in berkeley, ca by plugging my marantz recorder into the doppler instrument. There is a bunch more that is my wife's and the baby's intermingled (with the recorder plugged in we had no way to monitor), but this is the section that has the fetus isolated. If anyone is interested in the whole thing, let me know and i'll put it up.
