Hello,. This is the sample pack that i completed for the sound design course at slam academy. The theme of this pack is sounds that could be used to make melancholy and dark sounding music, but use however you see fit. I used ableton’s operator and analog synthesizers and xfer’s serum plugin to create this sounds. All processing was used using ableton’s stock effects and serum’s stock effects. I've been meaning to try and capture that magical, melancholy feeling of the late summer and early fall of the midwest woods. This was recorded in the shawnee forest in southern illinois on saturday september 28th, 2019. Equipment used: zoom f4microphones: lom usi pro omnissennheiser mkh 416sennheiser me66. Enjoy the soundscape filled with plenty of birds---but, birds that stay here during the winter.

A short instrumental piece i wrote one day when i was feeling kinda blue. Recorded with an m-audio oxygen 49 midi controller in the ignite music software.

Perhaps one of the most peaceful sound----a lone cricket singing his pure, melancholy chirp. Enjoy!. I recorded this with my marantz pmd661 -- performance enhanced by oade brothers of georgia --- and my rode ntg2 shotgun microphone.

A very old production. A simple dark ambient track, slow, brooding. It can be the dark cold regions of space, or the cobweb-filled but lifeless corners in the cellar of a haunted mansion. Mostly vst synthesizers, lots of reverb effects and eq's to shape the sound.

This is a background sound usable for things like a video featuring space and the universe. The production is based in synthesizer melodies, but it's been washed out enough to make it more of a sound effect, instead of a song you can listen to.
