After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of the sliding door, i followed the top of the door (where there was the most interesting sound) the full length of the wardrobe as i opened/closed the door. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

Here you will find a large collection of sword hits for any battle sequence. These were all produced by me and you may use them for any project. This is the variable mid/high pitch sound of a metal door not properly closed in my college, making a whistling sound. There are very light sounds of people passing and chatting by the door. I used this sound in a group project as part of a night wind sound in a dark forest. It is looping. Recorded with a tascam dr-40.

A thin wooden door, locked from the inside with a bolt. Someone forces it open from the outside. This is the sound of the bolt tearing through the wooden door-frame. I mixed the splintering of wood with a dull clang of metal on metal to simulate the situation. Recorded with a rode video mic attached to a camera. My first time recording a sound!.

Needed a really good bar drop for a film we where doing. This is a nice combo of a dead iron bar drop to a sawdust and straw wood floor with the addition of a metal bar dropped on wood. A little drop of a light bulb to finish the sound off. One drop not repeated. Created by paul villeneuve and dominic kaiser / stories by the river.

Poking around in my grandmother's barn - building is approx 140 years old and filled with old tools, furniture and other random things. Recording consists of a lot of rusty metal scrapes and thumps, footsteps on old wood, doors etc. Recorded on a hand-held sony pcm-d50. Friday april 26 2013 mid afternoon bygdøy island, norway. Ninja teases a squeaky gate waiting at the dock for the ferry back to oslo. Sunny and mild.
