That interesting time of year between winter and spring. Actually, here in the northern hemisphere winter can still be strongly felt. . . The outside temp. When this recording was done was a very cold 30 degrees f. But, as you can hear, the main players in this small-town soundscape are the american robins (turdus migratorious) who are busy vocalizing and setting up their territory. I recorded the sound of my dog's collar using a zoom h4n recorder and a rode m3 microphone. This would be a good sound used in the background in an outdoor scene. I can imagine this recorded noise starting off soft and gradually getting louder to indicate a dog walking by before it softens up and gradually trails off as the dog gets further and further away.

This is my four years old kid singing a long version of the abc's song. The idea of this version is to learn the sounds of every letter in the alphabet.
