Real recording of an ar15 layered minimally with a kick drum for sub-bass region and trigger sound and processed with some plugins like transient designers, multiband compression and clipping. Eq was used for tonal shaping and frequency cutting here and there for a more polished sound. Single shot recording assembled into a burst fire loop. Made in ableton live. Enjoy.

The doorbell in my apartment is so loud and obnoxious i decided to share my pain with the rest of the world, lol. In all seriousness, hopefully someone finds it useful for their production. The first sample is the purest, with the last two i *attempted* some dampening, but the difference is really inaudible. This was meant to be a part of a track i was working on, but ended up getting caught up in something else. So, i decided to give this away to those of you who may have use for it. The most important effect used to make this was absynth 5's atherizer. If anyone needs any of my sounds (or sounds not yet uploaded) customized to meet their preferences, please feel free to let me know, and i'll see what i can do.

Line samples from a casio ap-45 on the default grand piano patch. Samples every c and g from c2 through to c9 with a short sustain. Velocity is pretty aggressive and it doesn't sound quite in tune to my ear. Feels like it's a little bit out. You may want to tune these yourself, if you plan to use them for anything significant. Minimal post processing on these. Just enough to get them roughly even in terms of overall volume.

Wild parrots started flying in and landing on the trees along mission bay in san diego on a cool, cloudy day. I walk around and catch some individuals and groups. Sometimes they fly overhead. I did my best to minimize footstep sounds and wind noise. Mostly, i did a good job of that. No. 2 at about 2:35 there's a nice group after a long silence, so don't quit beforehand. The stereo mics add to the liveliness of the sounds.

I also used a reflection filter to lower rt60 so this sound has minimal reverb to tape. The cable i used was made of canford hst cable and has neutrik xlr connectors.

Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). Use as a trigger in vcv rack, allowing it's peaks to fire off samples or synth pulses. Or just use it plain within your next experimental acousmatic piece hit single.

I recorded it in 24-bit wav, and didn't want to process the sound (it would inevitably add some noise and distortion) - this way we minimize the amount of processing, and we can keep highest possible quality. Field-recording of the creek found in old ellicot city, md. The creek is located in a suburban town, and is surrounded by a man-made rock moat about a story below street level. Recorded using a sony pcm-m10 at 24bit, 96k. The sound has been gently processed!!- hpf (6db slope) to remove rumble- compressor (ni supercharger gtx) with a minimal 1db gain reduction in m/s mode and a bit of warmth added. - ozone 5 for a little m/s eq to alleviate some of the watery pops on the sides and a little stereo widening to compensate for the pcm-m10's built in omni mics.

Recorded the whole seven to eight minutes long show in a relatively secluded location, so there is minimal to none audience in the recording. Wrote/recorded a free dance tune at 100bpm using ableton live 9. Basic 4 chord song structure (a, e, g, d). Synth and synth sounds are a combination of ableton stock plugins (bass groove, might as well synth brass, celestial pad) and free online synth vsts (dexed, synth1 vst). A field recording of small waves crashing on a sandy shore. Part of the recording includes the waves splashing against a wooden structure. The waves come a fast, regular intervals; this isn't the slow rolling crash of a barrel wave on the beach. There was a bit of wind (generating the waves) which i've did my best to minimize, but if you don't want wind in the recording you're going to need to edit around it. Always curious to see where these recordings wind up, so if you use it drop me a link in the comments if you think about it.

This is a first in a series of loops made with the x-base09 drum-kit i have posted long time ago, i thought this would be a nice addition. Loops will be mainly processed in live9. Information will be available depending on the loop. This loop is a dry unprocessed loop, all i did was reduce the release on one of the kicks, as it has a long delay, and i didn't want that in the background of this loop, some midi velocity on the hi-hats, and i added a groove (chachacha) with only 10% quantization. This first loop was mainly to show the original sound of the individual hits as they where recorded, playing as a loop to give you a better picture of the sounds and therefore i added it to the x-base kit instead of x-base loop pack.

Note: the high-pitched squeaks are artifacts from freesound's preview and aren't present in the actual recording. 10 minutes of a thunderstorm, recorded september 7th, 2019 from my apartment window in seattle. This is the raw recording straight from my zoom h5. Levels were kept low to minimize the chance of clipping. A few thunder sounds were still too loud, but luckily the h5 has a backup function that recorded an identical track 12 db quieter. I've uploaded that as well, so you can splice the two together to taste. Eventually i'll release a processed version with the two combined, plus compression and eq, but i wanted to upload the source material in case you'd prefer to diy it.

Created with a korg electribe 2 processed by a zoom multistomp ms-70cdr guitar multi-fx pedal, using the particle reverb. The manual states that it models the line6 m9 particle verb. Particle reverb.
