This is a recording from a wonderful place in suburban shanghai, "old bell park. " recorded on a weekday afternoon, this recording consists of various ambient elements including the chatting of passerby, distant construction and traffic, and a pair of voices singing along with a flute.

Since i was walking in the riaza river gorges i saw a lot of ants on the remains of an animal. I put over a pair of contact mics trying not to disturb to the ants. Maybe the sound you can hear in this audio is produced by the ants eating or the. "hoces del río riaza" natural park (segovia) / 2010-09-04 11:00.

I also uploaded neck-snap and neck-snap_short. These are all the same sound with _short being the file with the fastest tempo. All sounded like bones crunching to me, but the source was actually the sound of a boot stepping on a pair of dry pine cones from an austrian pine. Use it for whatever it sounds like to you.

To create this sound i hit an apple with a pair of scissors in my bedroom. It sounds as if someone is being hit over the head with a hammer - i created it as foley for a student film for this purpose. To record i used my sontronics stc-10 microphone and my audiobox interface running pro tools from my mac at 48khz, 16 bit.

Monastiraki square, athens, greece. A group of 6 young guys from africa start a street drumming-and-dancing show, when they are approached by a group of romani girls (in a flirting mood, in my view). A live recording of a 100+ choir in rehearsal. Recorded using a matched pair of rode nt5 for the left & right with an additional akg c451 for the centre. The idea of this recording was to capture the way a choirs sound fills a room. Some minor addtional eq has been used in the 35khz range boosting by 1db to give the performance a little oompf.

This is a foley recording i did for a cinematic nature documentary. In the scene you see lions pulling the guts out of a recently killed bison. As the sound assistant didn't want to get too close, i simulated the sound by mushing up a plate of lasagne in front of a pair of rode nt5's. Very suitable for zombie movies - have fun! :).

Recorded with the mixpre-3 from sound devices and the sennheiser mkh 8020 stereo pair in a special ortf setup. Very natural an warm sound.

Recording of a pair of oven mitts being hit together. Might be useful in a game as an inventory sound. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. Attribution appreciated but not required.

There is no compression or eq applied, and the file has a high dynamic range, so for many applications you may need to use some dynamics processing to reduce the dynamic range. The recording was made by poking a zoom h5 portable recorder outside a third story loft window. The microphones are the stereo pair included with that unit, with a windjammer.

Short stabs on a scale c,d,e. . . To. . G,a,b. Fm synthesis. One sinewave oscillator output gets mashed by a another that's outputting a triangular wav. The oscillators are fed back into themselves and each other and 40 voices unison added to create a ubiquitous growl/yoy sound. On large speakers, or a decent pair of buds, the sinewave osc fundmental can be heard as sub-bass. Flstudio was used to host the synthmaker vsti oscillators and render the wav file.

The rattling of chains is getting closer, then we follow the horse and we can ear the lood steps on the forest soil of fallen leaves.
