On 8th of june 2013 thunderstorms developed above pécel, small town in hungary in the afternoon. The greatest part is recorded by my sony stereo dictaphone. Unfortunately some of my neighbours were talking too and can be heard in the recording.

This is a recording of me tapping my desk and dropping small items, like my calculator, bottle caps, and gum wrappers. I even improv a creepy whistling tune in it. I used the fruity convolver to make it sound awesome. Feel free to edit it and pick the parts you want.

Ambient recording of a sweeping vehicle driving through a parking garage in the city center of leipzig/germany. This file is part of the sample pack "garage"recording was done with a zoom h2 using the internal mics with a 90° angle.

A fire alarm beeping at 3:00 am. It decided to beep, so i decided to publicize it and let the world hear it's voice. This was recorded in an apartment complex with the fire alarm just outside the door. It always does this at random parts of the day, and it's not that annoying but, it happens.

This is the first part in my series of "distant music". This is intended to sound like rave/house/hardcore music being played loudly in the background. A very basic generic thump thump type of music.

Found an old abandoned truck on a hike - recorded the squeaking and creaking of the doors opening and closing and stressing different parts of the metal. (it was done outdoors, so there may be some birds).

As starlings migrate south for the winter, millions of them like to stop over parts of maryland and nestle in the trees. The sound of their chirping can be deafening. Someone decided to launch bottle rockets into the trees to scare them off. It doesn't sound like it worked does it? enjoy!.

Banging on a geometric metal sculpture with my hand and recording the long reverberations with a vintage sony f-98 cardioid mic plugged into my iphone 6. I used various parts of the hand, the palm, fingernails, fist, and knuckles.

Part 2 of 3, swooshes. While on skype, someone i was calling left the mic on while he packed for a trip. A transmission error caused a unique distortion effect while he was moving gear and typing. These are the swooshes, normally made from dragging objects or sustained rustling. . . I think.

This is a 2 mic recording in a darts bar in tokyo. The first part is a pretty decent recording of the room. But then later the background music gets really loud. Because it's summer time, the air-conditioner is cranked full blast.

Recorded under a bridge with fast driving cars above, rain is dripping. The cars hits a gap on the bridge parts, so there is a typical sound of cards entering a modern bridge made of concrete. Recode with a tascam im2 and iphone, i believe.

Rain: the sound was created through foley. It is the very prominent pitter-patter part of rain. It is clear and very sharp. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg in a sound studio. This is useful when you just want the sound of rain droplets unaccompanied by wind or other elements usually associated with rain.

Hi. This is a loop of aurora colorado'sold whelen wps-3016 system test. The city had 3016's, and wps-2810's. They did the wail tone for 3 minutes, and the whoop tone for 30 seconds. This is a one sycle loop of the wail tone. You can hear the other sirens in the system in the background, as well as some very excited dogs that where barking during the whole test. I don't know the exact location of this siren. Also, the system has been removed and replaced with new whelens a couple of years ago. They had a yellow wps-3016 in the sistem hope you like it. Recorded sites are oslo town hall square, vippetangen, the opera, sørenga, lohavn, kongshavn - the harbour promenade eastern part. The soundscape is a work-in-progress, and part of a doctoral study at the faculty of landscape and society, norwegian university of life sciences nmbu. The study explore the urban intertidal and oslo's urban sea areas. The soundscapes are recorded and edited by elin t. Sørensen, visual artist/landscape architect. Percussion made in blok modular. Kind of morphs around but plenty of bongos and some kind of shaker towards the end. You can maybe get a couple of claps out of the end part too. Sometimes sounds a little too fm-y (think sega genesis sounds) but others sound pretty organic imo.

Residential road in a quiet part of a city suburb (close to tel aviv, israel). Recorded with audio-technica boom mic on a tascam dr60dm2.

Part one of riding the orange line on the washington d. C. Metro. Interior of the train only. Can hear pulling up and away to a few stations. Also hear the doors open and close with announcer and "ding. ". Recorded using a zoom h6, with stereo xy.

Recording of a diesel loc, part of a maintenance train, returning to depot at about 1am. Recorded from my bathroom window in cardiff east. Repetive sound, thythmic in nature but with a clear pitch. Occasional white noise from airbrakes. Recorded with zoom h2n, 44. 1/24.

Kitchen cleaning and espresso machine cleaning: over several minutes you hear the cleaning of an espresso machine, cleaning all the metal parts of it and working with water and sponges. Recorder: zoom h4n with the internal mic on 48khz with 24bit.

This was part of a cat fight picked up by dreamtalk recorder, an app for iphone. It records mainly for when i talk in my sleep, but often picks up interesting sounds outside my house.

Snare sample one-shot. These snares were all made with virtual drum synths and processed through some analogue console emulation and added saturation. They were then trimmed to get rid of any dead space before or after the sample and finally normalized to 0db. This file is part of my anu snares pack.

Finally, a month after i needed it for my last film, i got really good foley of a spectacular thunderstorm. Here's 10 min of the best part. I can't use it right now, but maybe others can. It contains steady, heavy rain with peals of thunder at various distances.

Song in progress but lost the files, so i scrapped it. Electric guitar tapping and strumming with some reverb. Made in cubase. This sample has 3 distinct parts. Intro-mellow-rhythmic. If you use it, i'd love to see what you use it for!.

I made a weird sound with my voice, stretched it out in every direction, and looped it to make a cool noise that could be used as the ambient music for a part of a game where there are either giant robots roaming around, or are scary-as-hell creatures.
