I was bored and made this loop on fl studio (jumpscare warning at the end). Stems in order: kick, snare, shaker, transition, unlayered loop and the original sound that i made the unlayered loop from (some motor sound that i recorded). =========================================for anyone that might wanna recreate the unlayered loop, i made it using eq, some valhalla delay preset called magenta, gross beat plugin (chaos 4/drum loop), a plugin called "pancz" by oversampled (add punch & flavour preset), gross beat again (complex 10/drum loop) and little bit of bitcrush using fx(effector fx module). A sort of renaissancey version of the first two lines of ding dong merrily on high, composed on cubase with samples from the edirol orchestral plug in (a bit of harp, french horn, alto flute and violin with kettle drum and sleigh bell percussion). This was for the intro to a radio sketch but hopefully could be useful for other theme setting. Sorry in advance for not doing the whole song.

Created in waveform-10 using 1 instance of zynaddsubfx with 3 layers of hi pass filtered oscillators which were tweaked in detail to sound more like noise. Theres a little reverb, delay and distortion in there. The other oscillator was white noise created in 4osc ( native waveform-10 plugin ).

Recording of my finger snap inside my living room. Recorded and processed at 24bit 96khz using the tascam dr-40 linear pcm recorder. Processing: gain-staging and soft high and low frequency filtering. No eq boost or cuts anywhere else. Also de-noised.

I´ve found a more than 2 meters high and wide bronze artwork hanging upright. It has several blocks on its surface, looking just like a upright hanging town. On 5 of the "houses" i played a rhythm, using rather hard drumsticks für kettledrums. Recorded with zoom h4n with 2 schoeps ccm4 mics.

This is something i made with audacity using the generate>risset drum option. After i generated one long risset drum, i made a short one below it, copied it & added a delay to the track with the short decay risset drum. After that, i just leveled everything a couple times. :).

#csd [collabo sound design]. Cuffh4tz (#csd 001). Smashing one part of the cuffz on the other one which lies on a wooden table. The wooden table was chosen to damp the signal and gives it a more solid sound. The chain between the cuffz adds a nice character to the sound. This library consists of 39 samples.

Quadruple finger snaps, recorded with a tlm 102. These are performed by alternately snapping with the ring and middle fingers of each hand. The snap samples are arranged from lowest spacing (all snaps happening at the same time) to highest (larger delay between individual finger snaps).

Changing the pitch, warping the sample, stretching it, complexing it. Setting the shaper to receive only audio, creating a popping effects, great for sound design if you wanna process it more, cut it down. Or even use it as a percussion in a loop. . Up to you.

The acme siren is a chrome plated whistle that is often found in the percussion section of orchestras. Recorded in my home studio using a rode nt1a through a focusrite liquid saffire preamp and protools 12.

Recordings with a telephone coil microphone recording sounds from an external blu ray drive and a smartphone (telephone coil recorded via behringer xenyx q1202 usb mixer, line-in) and 2. They're made using a little wavetable-based synth which i built from scratch; the wavetable contains 32 home-grown waveforms, and the synth's parameters and effects are controlled by a bank of 16 sequencers.
