A nasty cheap telephone ring designed using native instruments fm8 virtual synthesizer, a ring modulator, a moog-like filter (either are included in cockos reaper software), and a free lo-fizer vst plugin. Various versions of opening a normal dvd-case and taking out the cd was used to execute the sound. A zoom h6 recorder was used, with the xy capsule, in a normal room.
