Drop noise made with the mouth and amended by accelerating the speed and introduction of a "pluck" between each drop of molten noise at the beginning and end.

Created using my eurorack system and formatted for use with the make noise morphagene. Remember to rename the files "mg1. Wav", "mg2. Wav", etc. Before loading them onto the micro sd. Enjoy! :).

All sounds are created with the pluck-. Function of audacity. I modified the attack phase, changed some harmonics with notch-filter andlowpass. For the pluck noise i used a bandpass- filtered white noise.

I had read that some bluegrass musicians tune their guitar strings to dadf#ad because it makes playing that style of music easier. But what does it sound like? this is the sound of each string being plucked and then an "open drop" strum, with no frets held down. It was synthesized using the program 'sox'. If you have a unix machine (gnu/linux, apple macos) with sox installed, you can recreate the sound by running these commands:. Sox -n pluck. Recorded a guitar being plucked and slowed it down to 0. 1% speed. This creates the nice initial pluck sound. Then copied and resampled the copy and slowed down again by 0. 1% speed, this time preserving the original pitch. This created the ultra-long decay tail. Added eos reverb.

This standup bass was sampled using a direct pickup as well as stereo overhead mics for some room ambience. Articulations include a normal pizzicato, or finger plucked note; a stopped note as performed with the finger; a stopped note performed bartok style; and some miscellaneous sound effects: a slide by the hand down the strings, a slap on the strings, and a knock on the wooden body of the bass.
