Mildly musical impact sound.

This was a silenced pp7 which i recorded and layered to make it sound and fat. I used sound design techniques such as layering, eqing, pitching & compression.

Grinding a single cup of espresso by hand in a peugeot coffee grinder. It was recorded with a maono au-903 usb mic pointing at the grinder, and set to cardioid. (i'm new to sound recording so i'm taking lots of notes to try and learn what works best. ).

This is a piece of an announcement made in japanese in the small town of kawaguchiko near mt. Fuji in japan, about a month after the earthquake and tsunami of 2011. The hotel staff told us the message said that, due to very good work of the people in rationing their power usage, there would be no power outage that night.

Rode nt4 microphone compare signal-noise of phantom and battery power. Nt4, together with small electrical clock, in bed under all the pillows of the house. ;-). First 48v phantom-powersecond 9 v battery-power. Gear chain: rode nt4 with original xlr cord > sound devices 302 >tascam dr-100 mk2. My conclusion: the battery powered mic nt4 is 0. 5db more quiet. I simply generated a risset drum in audacity with all the default settings, except the frequency is 50. A really powerful sound, but only if you have a good sub woofer.

A simple recreation of the "flint phone" sound effect using sine waves. This effect originally appeared in the film, "in like flint" as the presidential "red phone" sound effect. It later appeared in the film, "austin powers: the spy who shagged me," as austin powers' car phone ringtone.
