This is an old gramophone with a 78rpm vinyl-record. The sounds include the winding-up, the placement of the needle, crackle-noise and other surface sounds of the vinyl, lifted-up needle and the sound of the vinyl record-player stopping. Recorded in stereo on a zoom h4 handheld recorder.

I was warming up the fireplace and the flame just really took off. It sounded really epic and sinister so i decided to record it. The menacing vibe was captured fairly well with the recording too i think.

In an attempt to add warmth to my productions, i sampled some of the more distinctive sounds mostly from the lead-ins and lead-outs from dirty/scratched records. If shortened, they make for interesting _analog_ glitch noises.

Another explosion i made using wavepad sound editor. This time i used compressed, muffled, and pitched down beer hiss (i used lots of beers and amplified them) and a few small metal parts and rocks. For the first part of the sound, the "bam" it does was mixed beer hiss and a punch i performed on some meat. The rest is just rocks and small metal parts, distorted, softened plus reverb. I used a shure beta 58a microphone to record all those.

Lead in groove of a 7" single @ 45 rpm. Recording chain:. Pro-ject primary turntable with an ortofon om 5e cartridge→ onkyo stereo amplifier→ behringer uca202 audio interface→ laptop using audacity. Notched out some motor noise and selectively eliminated or lessened some other noises for aesthetic reasons.

When wright® brand bacon sizzles, it sounds just like the crackles and pops of a spinning vinyl record. So, we decided to create a high-fidelity recording of savory wright® brand bacon cooking for 19 minutes and 22 seconds, a nod to the year we were founded. We pressed this sound onto a vinyl record, which we sent to tiktok creators to cook up their own bacon beats: tiktok. Com/@wrightbrand. Now, this sound is free for you to use.

Quiet time of day, recorder placed in cardboard box in a cupboard and covered with clothing. As in title and file info, low cut 40hz, 16 bit, 44. 1 khz. I didn't see any point in going below a 70% gain level as it's not too bad at those levels.

I started recording a vinyl lp into my computer before realising that i hadn’t set the anti-skate properly and the needle was stuck in the lead-in groove. I trimmed this bit of snap crackle n’ pop and kept it in the hope that it might be useful for me or anyone else. Have fun.

A compilation of accidental recordings or recordings of terrible quality i made, with the pops and crackles and interesting parts all together. I think if rearranged this could be useful for making vinyl, analog sounding drum beats. I used a similar strategy for making my chai tea drums- https://freesound. Stereo recording of the lp "dance hall of shame"a silent record released by virgin records protesting censorship in music. From the sleeve:"if there is one lesson to be learned through our history, it's that freedom of speech has inevitable risks. But the alternative is slavery of mind, in a society empty of thought. If we value the progress of music and expression, we must accept that there will be music we dislike and lyrics that offend. Our responsibility lies in promoting legitimate argument and persuasion. If we do more than this, overstep our bounds with labeling and censorship, then our unwillingness to accept the risk of freedom leaves only one future to our children: no thinking. No talking. No music. ".

Recorded late summer/early autumn by a lake in rural ontario. I was trying to record the sound of six loons calling to each other, but was interrupted by an aggressive chipmunk who had decided that the lakeside was his and his alone. I recorded anyway. Recorded using an h2n zoom recorder, using the m/s raw setting.

This unmodified file was generated because i was trying to record bird songs. In swooped this fully-marked police helicopter; the pilot drastically cut back his forward speed and passed slowly directly overhead, just above treetop level. Now that they have my address, i'm suspicious. And more determined than ever to move.

10119 khz 2011-oct-27-1400-utc station clicking over the band. Clicks noted in 10114-10123 khz range. His equipment was old czechoslovak army transmitter rs-41 (about 1965 year). Added frequency marks at -45, -27 and -10 sec. Of the record. I know that rs-41 is clicking because i have the same transmitter at home. But later found that also ft-897 receiver is often the source of phantom clicks. . .

We were filming an interview when the bells started ringing. The sound is from the guest's lavalier mic. I told him not to make a sound so i could «record» the bells. We can hear the wind a little bit and the sound of his head moving here and there. Recorded at the basilique notre-dame-du-cap, trois-rivières, canada. Do whatever you want with it!.

This sounds like a man peeing, flushing the toilet and washing his hands. In reality, the 'peeing' is actually me slowly pouring a glass of water in the toilet - was too squeamish to ask anyone to do this and record it. Recorded for audio drama y2k in december 2019. Use any way you like, i'd be happy if you let me know in the comments if it was useful. Recorded with a zoom h1n.

I picked up a home-grade reel to reel machine at a thrift store and and this is the tape which was in it. A father sends messages from home to his son in the u. S. Navy during the vietnam war, including fatherly advice about cars and shopping overseas and anxiously awaiting his sons return. He provides sample fodder at 14:19 about musical gear lust and otherwise provides an insight to the times. As no parties in this recording are explicitly identified, and while i did not record this, i am the de facto owner of the recording at this point and think it best to preserve it by posting it here as cc0. 180hz notchfilter(60x3)otherwise untouched.

This is the sound of a viking electric lawnmower in action; mowing a piece of lawn. Today i got my audio equipment. This is my first contribution. When i was walking around today to catch sounds, i met a man who was mowing his lawn. I asked him if i could record him while he was mowing his lawn. He agreed and i was allowed to record him mowing. It's a viking electric lawnmower. Description: a man mows the lawn with an electric lawnmower. He drives the lawn mower over a piece of path to the meadow, mows and drives the lawn mower back. At the beginning of the recording, there is a short question asked if he should start now, which i confirm. The recording is unedited. Recording device: zoom h5microphone: xyh-5date: 31 july 2020place: schwanewede, northern germanytime: afternoon, about 4 pm. Weather: 25 °c, sunshine. Hardly any clouds in the sky. Wind from east-northeast, 2 bft.

Fast train passing, approx less than 3m away from track with tascam dr-05. This is a good recording although:i was glad to find a place to record a passing train without any kind of other disturbing noise and people! but i was really p. . . One of my favorite summer and late-summer sounds. The night-hawk is the star of this recording. This recording was made around 9pm at night in mid-august and, even though i never could see this nighthawk, his calls pierced through the night-sky to let me know he was up there, somewhere, orbiting on the prowl for mosquitos and other insects. I have always loved this sound ever since i was a kid and going to sleep at night i felt comforted knowing that, like some circling fighter jet, the nighthawks would be on the job, plowing down the population of mosquitos, while i slept all night. Recording actually made in the parking lot of a major midwest university around 9pm at night on august 19th, 2014. Equipment: marantz pmd661 modified by oade brothers electronics, beyerdynamic me58 microphone. My record volume was 7.
