Subways in nyc don't usually get quiet. Somehow i found myself on a quiet train from new york to new jersey, not one vocal, apart from the public service announcement. Lots of what you'd expect from a train ride: squealing, screeching, rocking, and i got lucky as many stops and starts. Taken at 44. 1, with the fire app on an iphone 4. Don't doubt those little guys.
Sounds from an inner city bus ride. With audible air conditioning, someone sneezes and the next stations are announced. 48khz/24bitsony pcm-d100wide stereono denoising.
A bus side from west hollywood to westwood. Subtle air conditioning, motor whirling and announcements of stops. Also the vibration from me tapping on my phone.
This sound was collected while using the subway while i prepare a shooting. A few diffrent takes of it at the ride. I liked the sound from the mooving and doors so i had to catch it.

Crowded bus ride in madrid, spain, morning of a working day. Lots of sounds, as should be expected (bumps, machinery, beeps, some voices), but also a very peaceful and cordial sonic environment. Recorded at 48kh 24bit.
I made this loop which i can imagine a cowboy riding on his horse in the middle of know where lost. I made this loop using fl studios and used the massive plug in. There are no samples, i made this myself.

Floriade in canberra 2013 - lots of people looking at flowers, taking photos talking, walking, some small rides, bands in the park, a old time pipe organ.
A scared person’s footsteps as they speed walk through a haunted house/mansion/ride. You can hear the heartbeats in the background to create a sense of urgency and fear. The gator’s dragged out “roar” adds to the environment along with the creaking door at the end.
Ambient on metro station (lisboa-oriente), chatter (portuguese + other). 1st train arrives. 2nd train arrives and i get in and make the ride. Recorded with zoom h4n-pro 48 khz / 24 bit. While recording, an evil spirit came to town. Enjoy the ride. You really don't have to give attribution to this one. Really. Don't bother. Maybe i should have created an anonymous account for this one. . .

Cymbal-like spacey sound, produced with sunvox reverb chain and a noise burst. Slow attack, slow decay. May be useful for dramatic scenes or other horror stuff.

A short trip on the manchester metrolink (tram) system. This is the ride between old trafford and dane road. In addition to the tram noise we hear people talking (particularly a young girl and her mum) and the on-tram announcements.
Sound of elevator in old hotel in ukraine, build during soviet times. Poof sound at the end of each ride, is the button jumping to the off state, when elevator is arrived to selected floor.
Location: tijuana, mexicotime: december, 2016. Riding a route taxi through the streets of tijuana. It's the evening on a weekday and people are coming off work. An ambulance cruises by. Passengers are silent most of the ride until minute 4:40 when the driver stops on a busy boarding zone. Coins jingle when people pay the driver. The door slides open and you can hear people on the street chatting, while passengers get off and new ones come in.
The subtlety of movement, often the sounds of it is ignored as we plug into our music machines. This is one sound of 3, intentionally recorded of the everyday sound. Used the r-09 voice recorder, recorded at close contact with a radius of 2 metres.
The beat was made using the real drum sounds in fruity loops for a friend who wanted to jam some new guitar riffs for his band. The tempo was originally 60 bpm but sounds better at 90bpm. It comprises of 2 bars of drums with hats and 2 with a ride.
Recorded at around 4pm sat down with a zoom h5, no processing although cut using garage band. Originally recorded as a wav file. The ride : the fury of triton can be heard in the background.
