This is a recording made in my living room of a mitzvah tank, the giant vans the lubavichers drive around brooklyn. They play jewish religious music out of speakers on these vans. Its a sound i always enjoyed, especially during the high holidays when there is a giant parade of them on flatbush.

This is a sound recorded with the stock mic on a zoom h4n recorder. The sound is a fine steel-ball chain being rippled across a synthetic wood desk top in a small room. Originally recorded at 96/24 wav. Have fun. It can be manipulated into various sounds.

We had just damp wood and it was a chilly evening. The wood is not burning yet, a lot of cracks, pops and sizzles can be heard. I can smell it, too. Recorded with a zoom h1 in a medium room, mic held at 30 cm ca. From the fireplace.

Wooden stick: the sound of a wooden stick falling on the floor. It bounces a bit around. Only one stick falling. Recorded with a zoom h6 (rode ntg-2). Recorded in a room with good acoustic. Can be used in the scenario of a drum stick falling down. Or wooded weapon staff.

Made sometime during 2017. Excerpts from my experiments with sinusoidal waves, homemade distortion effects, digital reverb, room reverb, and speaker->mic->pc feedback. Several effect parameters are controlled via an ekg setup called the "infernal gadget" which i constructed between 2010-2011 and used for several improvised music sessions.

A mixed group of people chatting amongst themselves. There were about 40 people in the room a mix of men and women. Many conversations happening at once but nothing stands out, a good general chattering crowd hubbub!. Recorded @ the old smithy, kempsey, uk in 2021 using 2 x u87 microphones and protools.

Purpose is space-ship idle background engine drone. Created in flstudio10 with vst-mysterion (free).

Wet crunching sounds of a bell pepper. Could be used for a zombie eating brains, or maybe some fast growing vines in a cave. Or perhaps stepping on some wet earth. Slightly echo room. Endless opportunities. Recorded on a blue yeti microphone. Background noise removal. Attribution appreciated but not required.

Audio of a dragoon pistol being cocked. It was probably an italian copy of an american-made unit. May require some trimming and buffing. I think i recorded this with an akg perception 200 using cool edit -- and i did it to get my room-mate to leave (after we recorded the sounds of several of his guns and a sword. . . ).

I was recording with audacity on my blue yeti whilst in my room. The mic was totally unbalanced on my bed and it eventually fell over but when i played it back it sounded like a nice whoosh or poof. Also if you put it in reverse it sounds like a giant wind flap like a bird or something.

Door slam in a reverberant room. The fast closing gives the sensation that the person who closed it was angry and aggressive. Recorded with a zoom h2 in pompeu fabra's univesity, barcelona.

Sound of an emergency shut-down on a spaceship. A robotic voice is saying "enemy detected" attended by a brutal alarm sound. Maybe in a wide room or hall. I created this sound by using the fl studio speech synthesizer plus several effects. Maybe useful in a video game or a short animation movie ;-).

A simple sine-generator piped through a slew of wacky effects automated with randomized lfos. I added some cabinet emulation to give it a 'living room' feel but left it dry enough to add additional stereo/reverb processing. P. S. It loops cleanly. Software: bitwig studio.

In this series of recordings i strike many cook's safety matches, in a small plaster-boarded room. These sounds were recorded with a match pair of rode m5 small diaphragm condenser microphones, into a zoom h4n. These are the raw sound recording with not noise reduction, eq, or compression. These sounds are 100% free for all uses.

Cold booting a computer built inside of a milk crate, allowing it to start up and start running a stress test, and then hard shutting it down by flicking the power supply switch. Multiple computers were running in this room and this recording is unedited, so there's some extra background noise. Sorry.

Insects (i think mostly crickets) make this noise. It sounds so. . . Infernal!, or futuristic (electronic for sure). I recorded this (with my old zoom ii recorder) one summer night in tlacotlapan, at the southern mexican state of veracruz. All this happened for hours inside my hotel room. So you can imagine what kind of night i have. Wonderful memories.

I am a completely blind guy, but i still have a passion for these radio-controlled models, in fact this is a recording made inside the room of my apartment in the province of rieti, italy, while i'm flying a radio-controlled micro helicopter. This was designed for a short film whereas the subject is checked-out, mentally, and builds up before the 'snap' of a mental break. The room had a grandfather clock and basic evening white noise with the sound of internal blood flow quickly amped.

A 3-inch folding pocket-knife opening and closing. Recorded very close to the microphone. Makes a snick/click sound. The sharp blade folds into a steel housing so the sound is metal on metal. Recorded: august 2014, with android voice recorder (mono), inside/evening in very quiet room. Noise reduction with audacity.

Recorded for a musical with children with 2 x schoeps mk 20 in a small ab. Additional a tlm102 close to the bottom of the bomb fur the fuse. With some room on the "explosion"this is not the whole recording. It is cutted after the "explosion". Look or tischbombe_3 if you will hear the things falling down as well.

This is a recording of myself banging a garden chair, an old table and a ladder together to create an earthquake element. It is completely raw, so no processing has been done, no eq, nothing. I recorded this in my living room with my trusty sennheiser mkh 416, straight into an mbox mini and into pro tools.

The rain can be heard on the close-by metal rain gutter. Some low background noise of cars. Recorded with an zoom h4n mics on 90°.

Aerosol spray can squirting. This particular can was full of compressed air. I could almost sense their disappointment as the excited air molecules escape and disperse into what is in reality a rather drab room with a middle-aged man standing in the middle. Olympus ls-5, built-in mic capsules, no filtering.

This is a recording taken by a tascam dr-40 interal mics mixed with external sennhesier me-66. Tascam recorded rear exhaust of a stock fr-s on a dynojet while sennhesier recorded engine bay. Mixed to generate what it was like to stand in the room at the side of the car.
