My first little attempt at making some film-like sound effects. Alot of bass in this one, tried to cut it below 30-50hz. I just want to point out to the people having a listen, that the sample that streams on the website has a small static-like noise in it. . The download version will not have this noise, i believe the compression for streaming degraded the sound a bit.

Before corsica_s's girlfriend started taking so many requests, she never cursed. And i wanted to take the samples of her moaning and breathing heavy and combine it with some dirty-sounding stuff. But it ended up way too dirty a concept and i got uncomfortable and never used it. And edited them together in audacity to manually create her saying "fuck". Then they recorded her saying "sexy motherfucker" and other shit and i realized i have way too much free-time.

This little distorted bass one-shot was made using a combination of sine-compression and filtering techniques in conjunction with reverse reverb/ bit-crushing. I also added a pitch fall near the end. I'm doing some ww1 commemorative stuff and couldn't find any marching on freesound. So here's my effort: 25s of medium pace marching on gravel, made from a few freesound samples mixed and retimed to match the pace. It's a very bright, close-mic sound, with wide stereo spread. It should loop seamlessly. So this is a composite made from:60076__sinatra314__footsteps-in-gravel-loop109487__tomlija__11-footsteps-on-the-gravel213307__taira-komori__walking-on-the-earth. I've retimed them all to be roughly in synch, added a multitap delay to boost the numbers of feet and some eq to give more of an impression of space.

One of a series of heavily processed recordings i made using a hikari monos cv. It's a small, highly tweakable synthesizer that's great for drones, resonant pings, and all manner of dynamic electronic sounds. ‘slayer’ refers to s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin made by twisted tools. By layering, blending, and mulching the original monos recordings, i was able to get a range of sounds the are dynamic, punchy, and unabashedly stereo. These might be useful for edgy-sounding ui elements.

It becomes clear when i record with audacity and can actually see the attack and decay. I’m playing with alm pip slope. With this module you can cv control the attack and decay. As oscillator i use intellijel μvcf in self-oscillation mode. I fm-modulate this filter/oscillator with a tone from uoki-toki polivoks vcf. The semi random trigger is really two triggers connected to an or gate. Pitch is from analogue systems rs-40 (sample/hold and noise). I can listen to this for a looong time. Retro sound.

I recorded some rain outside my front door. This is a tuned (a440) sample which you can use to achieve a sort of soft-yet-textured synth string sound in a virtual instrument like ableton's sampler. I think adding a little fake vibrato to it with multiple conflicting volume lfos sounds pretty nice. You're free to use this sound without attribution. Please link people here to share rather than redistributing yourself. If you do use this sound, let me know! i'd love to hear what you do with it.

It is a recording made with the following instrument´s: 1. Pianito toy model n88e / hk-6015c from china; 2. A steren brand microphone, steren amateur model, was used; 3. The recording was done using the pure data adc code, and the necessary code to make a sampler with [tabwrite ~]; 4. The recording was made with the audio interface provided by the tb-03 monophonic synthesizer and with the arduor 5 digital audio station; the processing instruments used to perform equalization, mixing and mastering, the so-called “eq arduor team” and “compressor arduor team” virtual instruments.

This is the source recording for my first sound made for my "a sound design everyday" project. Every day i will record a sound and then create designs, collages, and lil' music tidbits using the source recording and only the source recording.
