The sea was fairly choppy/rough and this is a recording of the waves crashing against a break water/wall with some occasional spraying sounds. Theres a great stereo effect of the waves hitting from left to right. Could be a good sound for any on boat/stormy sea needs.
Field recording of waves breaking on felixstowe beach in suffolk, england. Recorded using a stereo microphone and zoom h4 recorder close to the water to try and capture the spray from the waves. Wind shield was used but a little bit of wind exists on the recording with a hpf used to minimise rumble.
John Philip Sousa's "Hands Across The Sea" (1899) as performed by the United States Marine Band. Track 56 from the band's 2018 album The Complete Marches of John Philip Sousa: Vol. 4 (1899-1916). Conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Jason K. Fettig.
Another recording of slightly faster/more frequent waves lapping and crashing against a break water/wall with some quite a lot of spraying sound. Again, there is this stereo effect of the waves hitting from left to right. This would be a really good sound for any on boat/stormy sea needs.
