964 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "See"

This is the sound of the short part of guitar strings plucked over the headstock, between the nut and tuning pegs. They do not make for any particular sounds, harmonies or melodies, just random tones which may be used for some sound design, noises, jingles etc. I recorded this for my own purposes (game sfx) with 3 different guitars (see the other 2 files as well) and thought i would share it with anyone who may find it useful - if you do, please help yourself and enjoy! ;).

My floureon bm 800 tends to get a loud buzz when not used for a while. . . And a good old smack literally fixes it. I did this naturally for this sound sample, but i figured it would make an interesting sound to post here. I would very much like to read how you used this sound in the comments, it's fun to see how people use my stuff. Given the cc0 license, you don't have to credit me of course, it is in the public domain after all, but i wouldn't exactly come complaining if you did!.

When i first tested out my zoom h5 i began talking into the mic and then all of a sudden i needed a sneeze. I was about to stop the recording but then thought it would be good to record the sneeze to see how it handled my loudness. Well it coped very well and the recording came out perfect!so, here it is. I also played around with it in audacity and slowed it down which makes me sound like a roaring lion. Have a listen to that one too, it's uploaded here!it's called 'sneeze_male_slowed_-86%'. Enjoy!.

I composed a fairly long midi loop of chord progressions & let each section repeat twice. Then i layered a bunch of return tracks of the same line with arpegiated outputs played with straight, quarter note swing eight note swing, 16th note swing, & 32nd note swing all played together. The output was then compressed, heavily chorused through multiple fx devices, and stereo panned into the nonsense you hear. Was cooking a ham steak one night and when poking it with a fork noticed it made some awesomely gross sounds, lol. So, like any astute audio lover, i grabbed my zoom and recorded it! did my best to not rattle the stove or anything on it. It becomes clear when i record with audacity and can actually see the attack and decay. I’m playing with alm pip slope. With this module you can cv control the attack and decay. As oscillator i use intellijel μvcf in self-oscillation mode. I fm-modulate this filter/oscillator with a tone from uoki-toki polivoks vcf. The semi random trigger is really two triggers connected to an or gate. Pitch is from analogue systems rs-40 (sample/hold and noise). I can listen to this for a looong time. Retro sound.

Same patch as in electronic minute no 226 and 227 but on my real modular. I'm using a filter. Thats why i call this version subtractive. I'm subtracting harmonics from a square wave. Why are 226 blue? probably because i did it at work. . . Listening in bad earbuds. Makes you rise the bass. Lets see if i can make this wave ble at the end! i will slowly fade out the vco with high pitch. At the very end i'm switching the synth off.

I placed about 200 small brass ball-bearings (2mm diameter)on to a "half-life analogy apparatus" (which i have access to but i've never see the like using a google search. Basically its a titled wooden box with holes. The ball bearings roll down some of which fall through the holes and are collected in a beaker. The remainder are collected at the end of chute. Anyway, i just like the sound and hope someone can make use of it !i used a zealsound microphone and recorded directly into my laptop using audacity. The sound is as recorded.

Tiny waves lapping the quartzite pebbles (1-2cm diameter) on a beach at lake pedder. Recorded 21 march 2019, 3am, with the internal mics on a marantz pmd661. For noise reduction, capture a noise print around 0. 09. Exceptionally quiet night, no wind, no other sounds. The gordon river power station was 20 kms distant. Other mechanical equipment or vehicles greater then 50 kms. I could just perceive the electrical hum from the station (or from transmission lines), and so could my partner, but i can’t hear it on the recording. See also "tiny waves lapping #1".

Since i have recently found and love this site, i figure it's about time i upload something. I have been making some meditation and relaxing music and made this thing! this was made on ableton with an instrument rack. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. A short clip of a recording i made from my cbf600 motorcycle gearbox and chain. You can hear gearbox wine (normal), the sound of the chain running over the drive sprocket, some gear shifts and a little wind noise. I recorded it to see what it sounded like. It can make a good reference with which to compare should you think there is a problem in the future. I like the sound of the engine running and gears, normally drowned out by the exhaust. I clipped the mic to the gear lever. If i do it again i will place it further away from the sprocket.

Recorded on 20. 05. 2020 on schneealpe in styria, austria. Its funny - and a bit scary - that one can see the exact crevice the recording took place from a satellite. There was a bit of snow left from winter but rapidly melting. Drops fall from 30 cm to the rock below in different rhythms. Recorded with 2 km184 ab ~40cm apart into sounddevices 744. Unfortunately i had no proper windscreen and so there is quite some rumble up to 120hz. The rumble can be filtered out easily, but i left the recording as is (i normalized and converted from 96k to 48k in audacity).

Stomping on a big cement ground as hard a possible with a contact mic attached to the ground. The contact mic provides lots of bass so you can use this for punches, kicks, impacts, anything that can use a sweeter for impacts. I handmade my contact mic and recorded that into a h5. A quick clip of me saying "enemy boat spotted" in a low tone through a motorola cls series radio as a video game reference. Should be a great audio joke for all your inspired military style films to randomly insert playing from a tactical radio in the middle of no where for those who get it. Tascam dr-07 mkii stereo inserted directly into a motorola cls series radio and did a basic normalization in sony sound forge to make it more audible. I may or may not do requests depending on how many people like this. We'll see.

This is the sound of a clock ticking, if you can believe it! i added reverb to it and sloooooowed it doooooown to about -81 percent of it's original speed. I have many reasons to be motivated trying to give thanks to him. I happened to focus one day on the prohet ezekiel. The book starts with describe kinda dream hje had. He he ard a tremendous roar and he saw god's "spacecraft" landing somewhere in today's iran. He described a vehicle that god uses for importantr matters. My sound is maybe better to be connected with 500,000 ton oil tanker. However, i decided to make the feeling 0f a enormous powwer, coming from the lord himself. So, enjoy this several minutes long file. I could see a smile in god's face, b ut he said nothing.

Around 2010, i circuit-bent a motorola cellphone and added a control surface to control the bends. Then i added an atari paddlewheel so its big potentiometer could be used to do pitchbends, and the result is an instrument i called the "sonic electronic ball breaker". It's got knives, quarterstaves, thor's lightning, sharp sticks, nuclear machineshotguns, and even some claws that come out to jab 'em. In this sample i'm going through and playing with the controls to see what i get. These sounds are pretty abrasive, but they work well when run through a bunch of effects.

This song is about a buddhist who returns to the monastery, where he was abbot centuries before (in a previous life). While walking along the path with torches, the memories come to the surface. First, it is difficult to see it without understanding it. After a while he can let it come to him, without exercising control. As a result, he learns the life lessons that he was not yet ready for. Through the light at the end of the path he experiences what enlightenment is:"dare to expose everything without judgment and learn from it to become more loving instead of always needing control".

While making an ambient track simulating a fortune teller's caravan, i designed 3 sounds in pro tools by layering and editing presets within ambience and soft pads. They add a bit of magical flare when the tarot card reader turns over a card. This sound can be used for any kind of transition, item acquisition, quest accomplished, or other quick sound effect which needs a light, magical quality. This is a 5 second rendering of the famous 1000hz censoring tone used on tv, movies and broadcasts. It can be cut, looped and used to censor audio that may be sensitive in nature or otherwise not fit for broadcasting. Made the tone using an analog tone/pulse generator fed into a focusrite scarlet 2i4. The sound is very clean (no noise). As this "tone" is fairly easy to reproduce and there is no copyright on it, i'm not going to ask for attribution or anything. Just use it as you see fit whether it'd be commercial or private. No audio sample is present in this recording.

We develop iphone app that perform musical analysis on recorded audio from the iphone. Our app implementation make use of the audio queue service to receive raw audio buffers from the audio queue callback. In the first version of our app we had the problem of too much clipping on the recording which degrade the accuracy of our analysis. We also suspected that the noise canceling algorithm in iphone 5 produce distorted sound, which is not much noticeable by human ear but distorted enough to affect our sensitive algorithm. We found that the solution to our problem is to set the audio session mode to kaudiosessionmode_measurement. This session mode is supposed to give maximum freedom for us to control the microphone input, which include turning off the automatic gain control and probably noise canceling as well. The solution works very well except that it introduce a strange waveform pattern in the beginning of all recordings in iphone 5. It is very hard to explain the waveform we get, so i made two recordings at freesound so that you can see it visually. The first recording is made in an almost quite environment, and you can see the weird spike in the beginning of the recording. The second recording (this recording) is made with constant background noise, and you can see that the actual sound wave is offset from the strange curve and gradually increase to its original volume. This waveform only happens on iphone 5 devices that we tested, and there is no problem at all for iphone 4s and older generations. We have tried various settings and the glitch is still unavoidable as long as we set the audio session mode to kaudiosessionmode_measurement. We also find similar glitch in one of our iphone 5 devices, in which the glitch happens even if we try to set just the input gain level without changing the session mode. We are not sure if this is a hardware-related bug in iphone 5, or if it is fixable software glitch in the future version of ios. For the moment we are looking for workaround that can avoid this glitch while automatic gain control and noise canceling are disabled.
