Dare 31 signature soundhttps://www. Freesound. Org/forum/dare-the-community/35630/this is my signature sound. It’s the ambience of an airport (got) recorded with my mobile phone. In audacity i amplified, phase shifted and time stretched it a little. I wanted an all round strange ambience sound. Made a 12s loop. This sound will be used and recognizable in the forthcoming three dare submissions from me.

10 beats in 2/4 versus 5/4 and 15 beats in 3/4 versus 5/4. Multiples of two divide 2/4 evenly, and multiples of three divide 3/4 evenly (neither depiction requires ties), but neither divides 5/4 evenly (both depictions require ties). At, say, quarter note = 150 bpm and quarter note = 225 bpm, respectively, the first pair and the second pair are identical.

This is the sound-signature of many of the problems with digital audio equipment, a source sound of now-unidentifiable character was mangled using a selection of iterative granular resampling, timestretching and recombination techniques, almost all of which produce noisy artefacts, intermodulation artefacts and a particuarly weird sort of very noisy geomtetric comb filtering.

This is a line i'm going to use in a future animation. You see, if you've played silent hill 4, you'll know henry says "what the hell" a lot. Well, in my animation, a hole appears in my bathroom just like in the game, so of course i'm gonna say that signature line :p.

A recording of a red-shouldered hawk vocalizing on the outskirts of a small town in illinois. This is a behavior they do at this time of year to mark their territory. Five is four: a polyrhythmic analog-synth loop with ambiguous five or four time signature. Slightly frantic sounding, arpeggiator-like rising pattern a bit like a shepard tone, it's a 5/4 pattern, but accents are distributed in 4/4. 180 bpm, key is a-minor (a-minor then f-major). Two loops marked in wav file, first is the bare synth pattern, loop is samples 0 to 640,000; second is with a pad, loop is samples 960,000 to 1,600,000.

The mechanical noise and signature "chord" associated with the "mac mini (2010 model)" upon startup/boot. Brief mechanical motor and clicking noises followed by the famed sustained f sharp major chord (detuned 30 cents flat) being projected over low quality, built-in speakers. Mechanical noise has defined pitch and is predominantly in the mid-high frequencies. Recorded on zoom h2n, in small, empty room. Audio clip normalized in post-processing.

Come Down Ma Evenin' Star from John Stromberg's Twirly Whirly (1902), performed by Lillian Russell. During the production of Twirly Whirly, John Stromberg delayed giving Lillian Russell her solo for several days, saying it wasn't ready. When he committed suicide a few days before the first rehearsal, the sheet music for Come Down Ma Evenin' Star was found in his pocket. It became Lillian Russell's signature song, and is the only one she is known to have recorded.

One of autumn's most signature sounds is that of dry leaves skittering and tumbling as they ride along on a hard surface. In this case, the hard surface is asphalt. Hardly any other sound, just the strong autumn wind, and bunches of dried out sweet gum, maple and oak leaves racing across an asphalt parking lot. Think of it, also, as the sound from our youth, our careful youth when everything was achievable. At least for me, this brings me back to my happy place. Recorded on saturday october 17 2020 in an asphalt parking lot buffeted by gusts between 20 and 30 mph. Sound devices 702. Sennheiser mkh416 left channel, beyerdynamic m58 right channel.

would you get the door? i have a package coming that needs to be signed-for. . (chuckle) "sure. ". (pause) "are you dressed?" heh. Of course he changed his tune, but i was already headed for the stairs. Yep. Sure did. I didn’t step outside, though. Figured it was safer to let ‘em in…. Here’s a quick tip: when you’re holding the little computer thingie and signing, your hands are occupied. The thing kept rejecting my signature. Like, five times. Also if the package is on the floor, how you pick it up calls for considered forethought. I'd already sidestepped, um, all of that. Since when do two guys deliver one package?.

The Liberty Bell march, by John Philip Sousa (1854-1932), played by the New York Military Band. Recorded on Edison Blue Amberol cylinder record #3220 (unrestored version). The march is often associated with the British TV comedy program Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969–74), which used the piece as a signature tune. Nevertheless, the march remains popular with British military bands.
