Recorded with a zoom h1. Water was dripping from melting snow to fall approximately one story onto a metal rain gutter. A gentle flow of water can be heard in the background.

Windy day with snow and occassional bird chirping, opening the windows and recording looking out from the window with sounds from the parking lot and a construction site nearby. Recorded on 20. 05. 2020 on schneealpe in styria, austria. Its funny - and a bit scary - that one can see the exact crevice the recording took place from a satellite. There was a bit of snow left from winter but rapidly melting. Drops fall from 30 cm to the rock below in different rhythms. Recorded with 2 km184 ab ~40cm apart into sounddevices 744. Unfortunately i had no proper windscreen and so there is quite some rumble up to 120hz. The rumble can be filtered out easily, but i left the recording as is (i normalized and converted from 96k to 48k in audacity).

Wasn't intending to record this, but it was so intense i had to. I couldn't sleep with the 50mph winds hitting right outside the bedroom. Worst storm i've been through since moving to washington state in 1999. It came from the east through chinook pass. I was kind of expecting the roof to fly off. You can hear the flapping of a tarp covering my old mercedes right outside the window. The wind shredded part of the tarp. Also, the snow drift hitting the window. I used my yamaha pocketrak and edited in sony vegas adding two extra tracks. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :-).

Time to buy a new air heat pump, want start correctly after a hard winter. Ice and snow has destroyed something in the machine on the outside of the house. Recorded with zoom h1 handy recorder.

9:20 p. M. On 2/2/21 in huntington, ny. Recorded with a sound devices mix pre-3 and an audio-technica bp4025 microphone (with a rode blimp windshield). The file can be looped.

Ambience of a night in december. It snowed earlier in the day, with freezing rain after. In this you can hear icy trees crackle as they sway in the wind. A block away, motorists are passing by. Some people yell out. A one-note wind chime is dinging, sometimes another wind chime sounds. Some ice falls, and various other little things happen. . . If this is useful to you, go ahead and use it in anything. I'd like to hear what you do with it, so if you can, leave a comment about it.

This is my first sample - hope to give back the energy to you all for some downloaded samples from freesound. Recorded in the swiss alps in spring. This was a huge tunnel under a glacier and i had my dat and to omnis with me.

Actually is not rain. It is snow melting down from a roof, falling into puddles and onto a corrugated roof. I placed the microphone (zoom h2) on different spots in 4channel sorround mode. I just normalized them and mixed them into stereo. Thats it. In this case the mic is placed on the ground in the middle of the puddles and the roof. Feel free to vote and leave a comment, maybe letting me know how you are going to use it :). You can easily loop the sound without a notable cut in the mix. Cheers, pillo.
