Inspired from the sniper scene in "saving private ryan,". These are sound recordings of a heavy storm that entered los angeles. A compressor and equalizer was added to emphasize the rain in the gutter. Used to your preference, add rocks, gun loading, battle etc and you'll have an award winning film. This is a short clip from an intense thunderstorm, recorded from my second story queens apartment from an open bathroom window during the early afternoon of july 15, 2015. Some traffic and airplanes can be heard in the background. This clip was recorded using an apple iphone 6 and the zoom iq6 x/y stereo microphone with a rode dead kitten windscreen at low volume, normalized later. This recording lasts until the battery on my iphone hit 5%, at which point the zoom handy recorder app automatically stopped.

Severe thunderstorm arrived to pécel, hungary after the hot days on 8th of july 2015. It produced 15 mm of very intense rain and wind, and some lightning.
