This is an ambient recording of the late night crowd of kids at 14th street unions square nyc. It's where the market usually is during the day. There is some traffic present but it's mostly about the voices and energy of teens. You can hear the clack and roll of skate boards, voices and gritty near by footsteps. The file contains walla quality voices and up close stuff that you can understand. It is a tad left heavy so you may have to adjust if you are using it for stereo.

About 1 min narrated sound walk, recording traffic sound from my office situated at a heavy traffic street in lisbon to the docks near by the bridge 25 abril.

Busy highway traffic moving fairly quickly by with an ambulance passing through with its siren wailing.

This was recorded with the help of my lovely local fire volunteers. There is no doppler, no vehicle engine, no street noise. Has a bit of echo to it. Includes 3 different siren sounds to be edited as you need.

I tried to get a surround recording using mics, but there was a horrible street musician playing off in the distance. I thought it wouldn't be clear in the recording, but one of the mics picked him up quite well. The recording was ruined, so i did a little processing at home and came up with this freaky bit for your listening pleasure. Not sure if it's usable beyond listening, tho. . .

A hot sunny day, lots of people out to enjoy the afternoon, lots of vendors, small stages, pas blaring recorded music, finally a live performance at the end. Conversations as the observer moves along block by block. Sound professionals ms-tfb-2 binaural mic headset, sound devices mixpre-6.

This is the sound of a storm drain emptying into a gutter. My street floods in heavy rain, giving the storm drain a river-like sound. I placed my roland r-05 on the sidewalk just above the drain. It babbles and splashes like a river, but it is on a residential city street. I recorded it at 2am, so there are few vehicles in the recording though several faintly pass by in the background.
