606 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Strike"

I needed the sound of a stick hitting something, so i mixed together a whip sound, a belt strike sound and a the sound of someone hitting a piece of wood.

In this series of recordings i strike many cook's safety matches, in a small plaster-boarded room. These sounds were recorded with a match pair of rode m5 small diaphragm condenser microphones, into a zoom h4n. These are the raw sound recording with not noise reduction, eq, or compression. These sounds are 100% free for all uses.

Today begins a week of immense global protests and strikes to bring attention to the climate issue. Of course, i attended the guildford protest, participated and documented it here with some of its vocal chanting from a crowd of several hundred. Lighting a safety match. No other effect apart from using the zoom h6's xy mic at 90 degrees and a bit of trimming and the tinest amount of volume automation to rise the end part to an audible gain. Possible applications could be used for a character who smokes cigarettes, foley for a ignition sound effect or literally lighting a safety match.
