I recorded this in 2015 as background ambience for an audio drama. The cracking and plopping noises are by the surrounding trees, because they had these exploding seeds, yo may remember from biology classes. :).

I've recorded this oriental magpie robin in the philippines in a small province on the side of taal lake. Its melody is really cool ! the file was cleaned a little bit. I denoised it and got rid of some unecessary frequencies from the surrounding jungle.

Recording of a noisy study room in a student residence. Guys speaking and laughing, noises of the surrounding ambient like people walking, opening/closing doors, going upstairs/downstairs on a iron staircase. Recorded with a zoom h4n recorder positioned some metres from the main sound source (guys who are studying). The recording was done with the authorization of present people.

Early morning rain heard inside of a car in a busy parking lot. Sounds of people walking past, car doors opening and closing, cars pulling in and out, distant traffic on the surrounding roads going by including cars, trucks and busses. Occasional honks. A mostly mellow recording of the streets around east village, new york city. Recorded on thanksgiving '22 so the streets were a lot more empty than usual. By the way, the reverb you hear at the end of the clip is the natural reverb off the surrounding buildings of a woman who was talking quite loudly - she was around the corner from where i was standing.

This is the warm up then lift off of an erickson sky crane. It was operating out of the central cascade mountains in washington state, in the us. This helicopter is for fire fighting, and can carry 3,000 gallons of water or retardant to a fire - it's enormous. There are only 31 sky cranes in existence, and in august of 2018 we have two of them fighting fires in our surrounding mountains.

Explosion sound. The explosion sound was a mixture of a the initial explosion, the a wind sound that may be heard when there is an explosion and the rumble effect that would also be picked up on. I had to re sample all of these separate operator sounds and then put the audio track in a sampler the add some final touches. These included large hall reverb and utility for the large impact explosion and rumble sound as well as panning, reverb and delay for the wind sound to give it the effect of traveling around a surrounding area with the sound slowly decaying.

The clip starts with an idle hum, followed by muffled closing doors and power being applied. The hum grows and varies in tone on initial departure, and is joined by an electrical buzz and the echoing high-pitched sound of the traction motor off the surrounding valley. The clip ends with power being removed as the train approaches a station, and crosses a set of points. Note: there is one muffled station announcement within this clip.
