The sound of barking geckos (ptenopus garrulus) recorded in the desert at sesriem, near sossusvlei, namibia. At sunset, the geckos all around us started "barking". Two distinct claps of thunder. The third clap was a once in a lifetime capture as the lightning can be distinctly heard as it splits the nearby air. I recorded this in flat rock north carolina atop pinnacle mountain. I've geotagged the location.
