This is a recording i made of a child's toy that had dead batteries in it. The sample playback rate was slowed by the drain of the amplifier. As sounds played back their pitch and sample rate changed depending on the amplitude of the sound. . . Pretty cool effect i figured. . . "man i gotta record that and use it!" so here it is!.

A toy bought for our golden retriever. It's a plush with a closed ball inside it. Inside the ball there is a speaker and a spinning motor that which makes the toy bounce. The motor being noisy, i locked it for the recording. Recorded with olympus ls-p4 onboard microphones.

One of a series of heavily processed sounds i made using a small squeeze toy that just happens to be shaped like a cob of corn. I used s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, to combine these swishy sounds with various other metallic and synthetic sounds from my own library. The results are dynamic and surprising, and might be useful for certain kinds of unusual ui sound design.

Birds chirping, police sirens in the distance and the birds reacting slightly, human visitors making bird sounds, car horns in the distance, children talking in the distance, more birds singing, traffic noise in the distance, train (s-bahn) driving in the distance. It's a musical lamp i registered at a friend's house two years ago. It seems to be a headlamp, but i'm not quite sure anymore. As you guessed, it plays beethoven's song called "für elise".

A musical santa plush with old, half-used batteries that i recorded 16 years ago. Sorry for the loud sound, the bitrate and the sound quality. I thought the file would still be usable. I don't even remember the equipment used for the sound recording, i think it was an old caraoke microphone connected to a pc with the means at hand.
