It's a recording of sounds of an old store refridgerator. The recorder (zoom h2) was put into the fridge. There are sounds of fridge getting opened and closed, started up and stopped. It was recorded in a dance studio, hence the music in the background audible in the beginning. Lots of interesting noises this fridge makes. Recorded with zoomh2 rear mics from inside of the fridge. Converted to flac using audacity.

I live next to a car repair place and they have a couple of hot rods that they fire up now and then. This is a '55 chevy and to me the idle sounds like a dragon breathing. He does a couple of slight burnouts and you can hear the echo off the buildings. Recorded with my yamaha pocketrak and edited with sony vegas with one track duplication. Birmingham uk new street pedestrian zone (outside the odeon) on mid afternoon sunday. The sound of hundreds of people moving through the space, some briskly, others taking their time, answering phone calls, and children suddenly stopping. Sorry for the length but i figured it would be most useful if you could cut and mix it up for different sounds since there are a many different types. Tunnel, terrestrial, horns, door bell, door actions etc. Recorded from the second car.

While making field recordings on the harvest moon trail in wolfville, ns, a bunch of kids rode past on their way to school. A few said hello. The stereo on the bikes going past is nice. These could be used as substitutes for whoosh types of audio effects. Recorded with a zoom h1n with windscreen at 24-bit 48khz resolution and cleaned up in izotope rx. Enjoy!.

The local library has a printer whose noise i thought was quite unique. I forgot to record it the first time, so the second time i checked out books i made sure to record it. There's a little bit of background noise, but it is a public library. [please let me know if you use my sound in anything!! i'd love to hear where it ends up].

Process: a while ago i worked on a game and recorded several sound effects, one track after another. With the session set up the way it was, i opened all the channels and selected a section and exported it. After exporting, i threw it into paulstretch, and rendered that at the default settings. Skype interference or feedback sound effect. Its the sound your computer makes if your speakers are too loud. What happens is that your computer plays the sound coming from the person on the other side and then it plays over there and then plays back on your computer, it builds up in waves. Just turn your sound down and it should go away.

Com/), and then heavy modulated using lots of bandpass & notch filtering automation, pitch automation, distortion, resampling, & multiband compression. I'd recommend to splice things up a bit by slicing it into pieces & arranging them into something new.

I used one of those blank plastic cds that you sometimes get when you buy cd holders. I broke it up into many pieces and dropped them multiple times adding on the ending to make it sound like the leftover pieces bounce. Sorry about the backround noises, recorded on a laptop with the fan running and a tv in the backround. Came out pretty good though. I was satisfied in the end though.

This time a more abstract sound clip which in that case was prerecorded (bell 1) altered to the extend and used from mono back to eight channel ending up l+r. Although its abstract atmosphere the modular effects rings on a specific structure using 20th century harmony "rules" and of course tempo. Enjoy!.

This monstrosity is what i got when i attempted to add a reduce vocals effect to an episode of an old low-budget nickelodeon show from the 90s. I don't know why, but trying to apply this effect to it only gave me this horrific garble. Kinda like a messed up tape recorder or something, idk. Anyways, this is my first sound effect on this site and i'd love to hear your thoughts. Made with wavepad.

Walk glass crunch scuff - this recording was made in probably 1998 using a senheiser 416 onto dat tape, it was recorded on set at a night club in thailand for a film called "a hero never dies " i was operating the dat and directed by the foley artist who was actually the director of the film a certain mr johnny to. He made all 20 or 30 people on set hush up for this. A great memory for me shared in perpetuity.

I moved the zoom h1 n onto the window sill in the veranda. It picks up the rain beating on the thin plastic roof sheathing above, and on the glass windows next to the window sill. It is rainy weather - january winter rains on vancouver island. It is a hard driving rain. My recollection is that it was about twelve millimeters in one hour. It was wet, the trees grow fast & tall.

What's up! this is my firts sample i put here. With some big spherical card tube i do some kind of ''brrrrrrrr'' with my mouth. So that give me this sample i have here for all of you. A close-up stereo recording (3 meters) of a freight train idling then passing by. You can hear the train slowly accelerating more and more, until it is going by at very fast speeds. After the train has gone by, the train can be head in the distance. (sound was recorded using a mzr-700 md recorder and a sony ecm-ms907 microphone).

Sounds like the jaws theme song bass sound. These sounds are actually an xm with a changed file extension to. Wav, and then loaded into a wav editor which converted it to a readable format. I then removed the unbelievable noise to see what i ended up with. After that, i cut out the parts that sort of sounded cool and these are some of the ones i am willing to let everyone have.

Walking on wood floor, medium pace, dress shoes. You can hear mild traffic noises outside. Recording with mxl 990 condenser, mic near the floor, used x-hum and z-noise plugins to clean it up. It's a recording of water boiling in a kettle. You can hear the electric gas ignitor, the ignition and then warming up. The water was already very hot so this wouldn't take forever to boil. Then the whistley does it's job. Rising, steady, then the gas was taken out and the whistle slowly fades away. Very long natural fade-out. Recorded with zoom h2. Edited and normalized with audacity.

A bunch of kids playing soccer in an open-air playground (actually a handball field)in a parisian suburb. Shouting, yelling and cheering themselves up in french slang. Recorded with a zoom h2n in x/y stereo mode.

This is an under water recording of some bubbles. I filled up a laundry bin with water, stuck a sennheisser md21 (dynamic omnimic) wrapped in a plastic bag in there (under the water level). I pumped bubbles from the bottom of the bin through a bicycle pump. Gear used: md21 -> m-audio dmp3 -> terratec ewx2496. Completely unprocessed, 2:43 of 24 bit 44khz wave. Submission for the earthfirewindwater contest.

An one minute narrated soundwalk describing sounds in west la near century city. I started on the edge of the block right outside the f&s fabrics on pico. I then walked south of the f&s and continued for a minute describing the sounds around me. I recorded this around the afternoon so i was able to hear the wildlife up and about.

Here's another loop created with my experimental one string dulcimer using an old casstte player head as a pickup. This one's a long ambient loop that can be used as a backing track or chopped up. It was raining today and i heard the frogs, decided to record some ambience. So it's just the rain on the street outside my house with the occasional gray tree frog mating call going on too.
