These sci-fi synth sweeps were created by manipulating white noise with filter sweeps and other effects and then using noise reduction to remove the underlying white noise. This sound was made by looping a snare and speeding it up to make a pitch, bc pitch is allegedly just fast rhythm. I made this on july 18 2019 and then forgot about it, so it might not have been a snare that i looped. But it was either a garageband default sound or something i recorded. I recorded my dog lying next to me, relaxing and yawning a few times. Recorded with a sony ic recorder, cleaned up using edison in fl studio. I had the recorder very close to his mouth and i also used a limiter to increase the volume. However, i couldn't get rid of the background noise without making the breathing sound awful.

Cold booting a computer built inside of a milk crate, allowing it to start up and start running a stress test, and then hard shutting it down by flicking the power supply switch. Multiple computers were running in this room and this recording is unedited, so there's some extra background noise. Sorry.

If you want to use these sorts of sounds (good for games or video), remeber adding reverb back is the trick to making the sound big again.

I decided to upload all of my sound design stuff where i am working or have worked on. This is a series of hard sole footsteps on a stone tile floor i recorded for slicing it up to load it in a sampler. Recorded with a brauner phantom classic via an xlogic alpha vdh pre-amp from solid state logic.

Sounds from a steam-train, squeaking and rattling inside with no additional passenger sounds (no one else was in that coach). The recording starts with the train approaching in the station and the squeaking of the brakes and the hiss of the steam. This particular train goes up and down the "brocken" in the harz, germany.

Clean notes played on a home-made diddley bow. Sampled with an electric pickup and a little added reverb to make up for lack of sustain. Seasick steve inspired me to construct a diddley bow (it ain't hard). All you need is a length of wire, 4 or 5 ft of two-by-four, some timber nails, an empty bottle and a hammer.
