In the first part of the recording you hear the boiling, glowing lava in the crater, followed by a (small) eruption that made me jump in fear.

Sound of the earth opening up, something like the end of the world. Made using a whole bunch of filter plugins. Lots of sub bass. If you have a decent bass response, this will shake your windows. For the earthfirewindwater contest.

Recording of molten lava slowly advancing forward at kilauea volcano, hawaii. The cooling thin crust of the lava and the movement produces constant popping and clicking like sounds. Some wind at the microphone disturbed the recording. Rare human sounds come from observers staying at the area. Recorded with zoom h2n, postprocessing in steinberg wavelab le (only normalization).

A slowed down and heavily edited recording of a chemical boiling i recorded in my chemistry class. Sounds like a large reservoir of magma, so it be suitable in a volcano setting. Loops perfectly. Recorded with a zoom h4n pro on 08/05/2019. Edited in audacity.

Mud volcano field, davis-schrimpf seep field, salton sea, california. Lat: 33. 20070326716746lon: 244. 42179501054162. The davis-schrimpf onshore seep field site in the salton sea geothermal system is the result of shallow magmatic intrusions in a sedimentary basin. The ssgs is situated in the salton trough in southern california, an area with abundant surface manifestations of hydrothermal activity. The hydrothermal system in the salton trough occurs in a pull-apart setting where rifting and associated magmatic intrusions are responsible for the strong heat flow. One of the most concentrated and well-expressed onshore seep fields is the davis-schrimpf field, where more than 50 individual seeps are located in this area. Gas venting from gryphons and pools is vigorous with a continuous bubbling activity. Water and mud mixtures are continuously expelled down the flanks of the gryphons. Carbon dioxide produced from de-volatilization reactions involving sedimentary carbonate is the main driver for the seep activity. The morphological features of the davis- schrimpf seep field are strikingly similar to seep fields on dormant mud volcanoes however, the davis-schrimpf seeps are not related to mud volcanism, as mud volcanism normally implies large-scale mud breccia eruptions and a low temperature seep stage. Just a long, reverberating and multi-faceted fart sound made with my ample arm, sock over the microphone, in a small sound booth. No extra noises. Editted a few together from different tracks to create the 'overlapping' effects of the smaller ones, added a few effects, and was used in a 'toon of mine (kind of 'butthole of the world' volcano going off, suffice to say). Not as wet sounding as i thought it was going to be, though. Can be cropped, etc.

Created for an upcoming film, this is the audio from a nightmare a character in the film has about the terrible 1966 aberfan, wales disaster. He sees himself in a hallway at pantglas school then hears the coal tip land slide coming, then sees it crash through a distant wall and come rushing at him. I put it together from the following freesound samples:. 94114__tim-kahn__rumble126323__klankbeeld__horror-zombie-hell-atmos147239__matiasezcurra__mud-and-rocks-river-iruya-northwest-argentina168777__robinhood76__03792-children-screaming198095__cell31-sound-productions__earthquake-interior-metalrattling-2244501__hutsvoid__nervous-children249907__klankbeeld__horror-kids-01338721__rogerboyx69__inside-a-tornado379906__kevint1001__water-flood-enhanced402016__ylearkisto__ikkunoita-rikotaan-kepilla-breaking-windows-with-stick415608__rtb45__mud-volcano-field-salton-sea456806__breviceps__hot-bubbling-mud514381__zatar__earthquake3343130__inspectorj__ticking-clock-aand145801__mrbriandesign__kids-screaming-2. This was a very difficult piece of sound design to construct because of my emotions about the disaster and how the national coal board responded: 500 pounds sterling maximum to each grieving parent for each dead child, and with questions such as, "how close were you to your child?" if the answer was somehow not close enough for the panel, no money was awarded. The film scene will be handled with taste and respect, and no dead children will be depicted.
