Here are the audience bits from a jazz concert i recorded using an olympus field recorder. The auditorium was intimate and acoustically excellent. In the first section if applause you will here a mild rumble. There was a standing ovation, and that's what that rumble is. I also included some quiet bits of the band on stage getting ready for a song, and some subtle crowd walla as well. There is plenty to play with if you need to loop. You may here some bits of the mc or sax player in the background near the end, but nothing you can't work around if you need to. This is an ambient recording of the late night crowd of kids at 14th street unions square nyc. It's where the market usually is during the day. There is some traffic present but it's mostly about the voices and energy of teens. You can hear the clack and roll of skate boards, voices and gritty near by footsteps. The file contains walla quality voices and up close stuff that you can understand. It is a tad left heavy so you may have to adjust if you are using it for stereo.

Stereo ambience of people passing by at the kulturforum in berlin. This is a large open concrete space next to the berlin philharmonic hall. It's a warm summer evening and the berlin philharmonics have just finished an open air concert. The recording starts about 15 minutes after the end of the concert while everyone is leaving the place, maybe about 1000-1500 people. The crowd is generally in a happy and talkative mood. There are lots of international folks and tourists, so you'll not only hear german, but also english and lots of other languages. After six minutes or so there is also a police siren in the background. Recorded with a zoom h6 (xy mics). A hot summer afternoon in the swedish forest/mountains. Recorded with zoom h5 (xy) outside the cabin i rented. Recording mostly consists of birds and general life from people moving/talking as they arrive to their cabins with family. Its intended to represent a peaceful vibe with some human presence. I decided to not remove much movement/actions from the people such post because i felt it might suck out the soul of the recording. In post: in pro tools i removed some low rumble, and and trimmed the highs just a little bit. Added a "pro expander" to lower some noise, both generated by the h5 and the location. Ps. I have a version with 2 dpa 4060 in a ab stereo fashion of the same recording, abit noisy but its on my profile if you want to listen. Hope you like it.

The sales crew are a merry lot, bantering loudly with the tourists of different nations that are absolutely cramming the place. Lots of multinational voices can be heard, men, women and children talking loudly and all at once. Under that is the intense hum of a cooling system working itself to death!the ice cream was good too. I can recommend the peanut flavor. Recorded with a zoom h2, mics set to 90° dispersion.

Recorded at hope st radio, a bar/restaurant/radio station at collingwood yards, during the tail end of a disorganising community dinner. In this recording, about 80 people are learning or playing mah jong while the restaurant kitchen closes service and the sound system is off. There are adults and a few small children in the room and too many djs (common problem here).
