Just over an hour-long recording of an lg washing machine complete cycle. Recorded 1/02/2016 in my home laundry closet using a zoom h1 recorder and edited using wavepad, with flac conversion by audacity.

The next sound was recorded in a bathroom which was an open tap with medium pressure. The sound was recorded with zoom h4 handy recorder stereo using the built - in microphones and was modified amplitude and compression.

Metallic tap opens with flowing water into drain, rinse hands then closes with popping bubbles. Recorded with the tascam dr-40 built-in microphones, processed in pro tools 10, bounced to a 48khz 24bit wav file.

Kitchen cleaning and espresso machine cleaning: over several minutes you hear the cleaning of an espresso machine, cleaning all the metal parts of it and working with water and sponges. Recorder: zoom h4n with the internal mic on 48khz with 24bit.

I washed up some glasses and found them making a loud dripping noise when left on to dry. The water was dripping off the glass onto the corrugated drying side and forming a little wall with each drip, each time there as a drip the wall broke transferred the vibration on to the resonating tumbler.

Recorded at buttsbury wash, part of the river wid, essex, uk. This is a part of the river that flows across a minor road (a ford). Birds can be heard in the background but the main sound is from the flowing water. Recorded with a sennheiser me66/k6 attached to a zoom h5.

This is a 4 mic recording taken inside a pachinko parlor in akasaka, tokyo. There are so many loud machines and the background music is so loud that you can hardly make out individual sounds and the entire space is just a wash of noise. If you listen closely to this one you can hear some of the individual balls dropping. (when you play pachinko, you win metal balls which can be exchanged for cash later. ).

Since the apartment was near the station, the train sound was unavoidable. But if this is used in a larger mix, it probably won't be noticeable.

A test recording of a top-loading washing machine accelerating to 1000rpm on its final spin cycle. Note that it's not as high-quality as i would've liked, but i'll try again soon. This machine utilises a "direct drive" bldc motor instead of the traditional induction motor and pulley.

Operating my washing machine (front loader, brand: indesit). This reflect the full circle of a washing process from turning the control knob to the typical “clack” when the machine is finished and the look is once again released. All the intermediate steps like washing, spinning and so on, are shorten in time (otherwise this would be a 50min sound clip). But you can loop all those sounds very well. A soft and subtle, unedited sound recording from my studio in leeds. On the top floor of my terraced house, i have a large window that opens out onto a quiet street in north leeds. A school is nearby, so there are some elements of children screaming, but overall you get a nice wash of bird song, quiet car sounds and mild wind. This recording would be excellent for atmospheric sound for film, tv or whatever else.
