Here is a short recording of one of my male cats (a big good boy who resembles a chartreux) licking his tummy: to be honest, one of the most annoying sounds ever (especially if you are trying to concentrate and study).

Recorded by me using my midi keyboard m-audio oxygen 49.

It's a musical lamp i registered at a friend's house two years ago. It seems to be a headlamp, but i'm not quite sure anymore. As you guessed, it plays beethoven's song called "für elise".

Do you need the sound of petting, but have nothing to pet? fear not. This recording is of a (presumably) human hand, petting and scratching a reindeer fur. The fur is long and rather coarse, which makes for great petting. *no credit needed, but would love it if you shared your creation should you use this sound!.

Recorded at hammonasset state park in connecticut in a rocky section of the beach. Waves hitting boulders of various sizes causes sloshing and splashing sounds. Recorded with a tascam dr-05 using a fur windscreen. Some noise removal in audacity (to remove noise from a plane that briefly passed by).

A field recording in the evening of 3 dec 2011, while walking along bloor st w in toronto's koreantown. Sounds of traffic, and pedestrians. Recorded with a roland r05 using the unit's built-in omnidirectional stereo mikes screened with a home-made wind screen made from faux-fur.

Recording during a strong autumn storm, with heavy rain, in a large garden, surrounded by big pine trees. The wind was so strong, that i had a fear that one of the branches of the pines could snap and fall on me. The recording is a 32bit float, 48khz ms-stereo one, made with a sennheiser mkh 416, and ambient ate 308 emesser figure of eight, in a røde blimp with fur cover. I was amazed that the blimp did its job this good in this strong wind.

Ocean waves recorded from between two rocks. Recorded on a zoom h4 with the mics covered in zeppelin fur at 44100 hz 24-bit. There's some slight wind noise that can be filtered from 150hz downward. This is part of a series of recordings for an ambient music project i'm working on. There are some excellent ocean recordings on freesound if you're looking for a more traditional ocean sound, but my intent with these clips was to try to capture some natural phase-shifting by placing the h4 in cracks and crevices for a more hollow, "closed-in" sound.

The sound of rain falling interspersed with rumbles of thunder at varying volumes. A lovely, rich recording. The audio is raw, so you'll need to amplify it to suit your needs. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder and a faux-fur wind guard due to occasional breezes. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain.
