Here are the highlights from a mri machine (a ge signa, i believe). Probably useful for robot sounds. You'll also note the cooling system in there as well. These things dissipate a huge amount of energy and are quite interesting. The actual sounds come from vibration of the coils as the machine runs through it's patterns.

Well, this was a happy accident. I was trying to record my neighborhood with birds, etc, but of course living in los angeles that was practically impossible, so instead i captured this great airplane passing directly overhead. Recorded with: audio technica bp 4025, sound devices 702t.

In this field-recording you hear someone (well, me) walking through snow. You hear the typical crunchy sound of snow and the leather boots squeak too. Since i have little knowledge about improving field-recordings i uploaded the files as they were, only cut off the switching on and off of the recorder (zoom h2n).

Recording of builders preparing a construction site near my house for new development by breaking up a parking lot with a large jackhammer or percussive drill. Recorded from the next lot over, so there is a fair amount of ambient noise (e. G. , from nearby traffic), but the bits with the machine cut through that pretty well.

I opened the door and stood in the doorway to record the wind. You hear leaves rustling on the floor and every now and then the wind accidentally gets into the mic as i don't have a wind screen. You hear a little howling as well as some squeeking noise through it.

Here's a old geiger counter with the tube held by a radioactive test sample, probably / hopefully fairly well decayed. Some old v8 engined cars in a parade, idling and occasionally revving. They have open headers, meaning they have no mufflers and either no or very small exhaust pipes, therefore they're loud and "burbly"! there is some chatter from people standing on the parade route as well. Recorded on a tascam dr-44.

Drawing curtains: in the sound you hear curtains being drawn from one side to the other giving a harsh "shhhhhh" sound. There are different variations in the speed in which the curtains are drawn as well. Recorded using the zoomh4n and using the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. A low shelf was added to this sound to cancel some handling issues.

A sound i made that would be used for buffing spell in a game such as 'iron flesh' in skyrim. There are multiple layers of sword sounds i have recorded as well as some kick samples, reverse effects and some leather flapping. Here is a clip i recorded using a canon gl1 and a audiotechnica shotgun mic(unsure of model number, a cheap one i'm sure). The clip contains thesound of me clinking a fork around inside of a bowl (sounds likesomeone eating) and pouring water into a glass as well as a bowl. Thegain might need to be increased as the audio is low.

This is a recording i made with my h4n while on exercise at meaford training centre, with an artillery unit. It features 5 mortars firing multiple rounds. In the back ground, you can hear fire orders being issued over the radio, as well as individual detachment commanders giving orders to their gunners.

First upload. Recorded with zoom h4n. It's flax seed in an empty plastic spice container. It's a 16th note rhythm amd it loops perfectly at 130 bpm. It has some fairly subtle panning effects. Eight quarter notes long, but also works really well every 4 quarters, every three etc. I. E. When doubled and even tripled on itself in a sequencer.

This is a tone that i generated using my electric fender strat through one of my vintage amplifiers in my studio. Works well as a sample for composing soundscapes with it - i've used these tones in maschine and other sequencing/midi based instruments to create some interesting orchestral arrangements with the tones.

A pure recording of an early morning rainshower in the deep woods. Recorded on august 6th, 2013 at 6:30 in the morning. You will hear some birds singing as well -- despite the shower. Recording made with the zoom h4n recorder using the internal built-in microphones with the volume level at 80. You will note the gradual increase in rain intensity as the recording progresses. . .

Cowbell recorded both being shaken, as well as being struck with a pencil. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in adobe audition cs6. Used audition's noise removal tools to minimize audible background noise. While no others effects have been added, i would recommend using a hard limiter of around 10-20db for a fuller sounding bell. Attribution appreciated but not required.

With some room on the "explosion"this is not the whole recording. It is cutted after the "explosion". Look or tischbombe_3 if you will hear the things falling down as well.
