This is 4 and a half minutes of background noise from a new york city diner, including people talking, clanging plates and glasses and forks and knives and cups being cleared away by staff. Crucially, no music is playing. This means you can either use this clean, or layer in your own rights-cleared music if you're using this in a film or whatever. Seamless loop of gaspipe or gasleak hissing continuously. This sound is the actual background noise in the frequency range 1200 to 6800 hz from my randomly generated subhorrorambience1. Wav sample. All frequencies below 1 khz (lowend) and above 8 khz (highend) have been filtered out and the volume has been normalized. I release this sound as cc0. You can do whatever you want with it and don't need to mention my name. Tips & tricks for professional mastering of dark ambient loops:. ~ (range) 1200 - 8000 hz, the highmid area of all sounds. ~ (gate) filtering in and adding subtle noise in this frequency range can addatmosphere or "air" to dark ambience but sound noisy like a tape recording. ~ (filter) filtering out noise in this frequency range can make the bass andlower frequencies (20-1000 hz) in dark ambience sound clearer but more dull. ~ (highend) frequencies above 8 khz should always be filtered out completelyand muted to 0 db, since those are only necessary in music and higher sounds.

I had to make a background track of roman senators talking for a comedy radio theater production. I recorded myself 5 times in different voices (other than my own) and got this track. There's a dumb senator in there, an old man senator, and three other random senator voices. :). You may do whatever you like with this sound. . . That was the one that always got my friends laughing. This is one of those sound effects you kind of go "huh?" about when you hear. Let me explain what this is and how i imagine it being used. To me, it sounded like a good sound effect for when a computer (whether in a game or animation or whatever) screen starts writing down text (in other words, when a message is displayed on a screen and is written down one letter at a time until the complete message is shown). There are two versions here. The first one fades out (to be used a single time), and the second one is loopable (so you can loop it to make it last longer). Several years back my older brother stumbled upon a bunch of old family reel to reel films and sat down one evening to project them on a wall and digitize them. This is the sound of that process. What you can hear, i imagine, is the noise of the projector in the left channel and the sound of the reels in the right channel. I've been obsessed with the sounds of the infinite variation in old analog hardware. As a sound designer, that infinite variation is often sought after but rarely, or accurately, reproduced through digital files in various libraries. Of if they are, they're often too short to cover whatever scene i am trying to fill. On the surface it's just noise but if you listen closer it's this wonderful cacophony of overlapping and repeating sounds that are always looping but never quite identical on each rotation. It was ripped from youtube using audio hijack at 48khz/16bit, but due to youtube re-encoding things as youtube does, it's nowhere near the source. It's still, in my opinion, a sound worth sharing. echoes from an age of misery is made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I wanted something massive and huge sounding with a certain groove and swag to it. But instead of going straight to the fat bass / big drums-part i made a quiet little intro before it kicks off. I made the drums with both sampled drums and a drum-machine to make it big. And i use 3 different basses. For a little extra spice i put some strings and stuff on it. Would fit anything big, dramatic and scary!!!. Could be perfect for an intro, outro, something spooky and cool, mysterious or whatever you feel like. . . . Let the imagination run wild. I was recording outside my bedroom window while eating dinner in the living room, then i came back in here to see if i got anything interesting. I was zooming through the recording at 5x speed when i came across this bit of incidental pareidolia. I'm not sure what was going on, maybe the neighbors' stereo, but i don't remember hearing it, it's much louder in the living room so i should have. Whatever it was came out as a little distant choppy 2-notes alternating melody when played at 5x speed, which suddenly gets louder and solid as you hear the lower note followed by a third lower note. These 2 louder notes sound to me like someone singing the words all day. This would lead me to believe the original tones have some light harmonics i don't hear at normal speed. After which it goes back to the softer stuttering 2-note alternating thing from before. It doesn't sound like much at all at normal speed. So i just did a few straight pitch changes with goldwave until i got to 5x and saved this little file. See if it sounds like "all day" to you.

Then a bass line comes in and develops, getting more groovy, more tones. A midpart/breakdown before it goes up into a hard groovy four on the floor disco-beat again. The difference between the mild version and the spicy version is that there is more stuff coming in on the spicy version. Starts off the same but in the midpart there is more going on with guitars, piano, synths and stuff. And afterwards there's a bit of "jammy" section leading to the end. The mild version is more basic, no messing around kind of. Think it would work great to a game, youtube-channel, episode, movie or whatever you feel like. The sloth has two outputs x and y. I connected x to control frequency on one oscillator and y to control amplitude on another oscillator. Frequency experiment on left channel. Amplitude experiment on the right. The file starts as the amplitude is 0. Next time the amplitude is 0 (almost) is at about 48 sec. Then 48 sec later, at 1:37 the amplitude is 0 again. The two cycles are not identical. The tones are harder to analyze. . . X and y outputs. I guess those corresponds to x and y in a coordinate system.
