This is a d major in drop d tuning on a fine martin guitar i recorded in my studio. I use it for mail notification. Thought somebody else might like to.

Stereo recording of strings plucked behind the nut. Recorded using an electret microphone on hi-md. Has then been processed and reversed.

Feedback recorded from an amp with a guitar. Makes an eerie hum and can be taken strangely out of context. One of several different recordings.

Big reverb and heavy distortion. Very indy/alt rock type of riff. Some extra effects at the end of each chord. Probably good idea to break it up into smaller sections as the end goes a little crazy with some not so over the top playing and noise.

This is a single guitar string plucked with a pick directly at the headstock, that means between the tuners and the nut. There the string is very short and tight, resulting in a high, almost piano-like tone. Also, since there is no sound box, the tone is rather quiet. I used this for a sampler and i liked the sound of it. This is the raw recording. If you want to use it in a sampler too, i recommend adding some eq, reverb and maybe some delay. It is not perfectly in tune though, the closest note is a#. You might tweak the tuning a little bit when using it in combination with other tuned instruments. Microphone: akg perception 120post-processing: none.

Little loop with some soloing over it about halfway through, chop the beginning for an intro or use the wacky melody that comes in about halfway through. Its basically in lydian mode, so suitable for indian or just for fun.

Low e string on acoustic guitar scrape slide with pick. Increased pitch, wah-wah effect at 31. 2%, light tremolo,fade and noise reduction used. Recorded with conexant smart audio using at2020 mic, processed on audacity.

Trying to be clever with the wah pedal but not really.

I got a wah so i had to do the funk thing!.

Sound is guitar into danelectro tremolo and me-30 on a wah setting. Not much else that i can remember. Another example of me trying to rip off throbbing gristle.

Clean tone with some vibrato and reverb. Changes up 30 seconds in. Could probably be edited to shorter chunks for some background noise.
