After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of the sliding door, i followed the top of the door (where there was the most interesting sound) the full length of the wardrobe as i opened/closed the door. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

The sound of a pair of tweezers being vibrated or "flicked".

This is one of those kitchen trash cans with a lid that pops open when you step on it. One time i stepped on it a little too hard and the lid bonked against the wall and made this great sound that i then had to record. Stereo 24bit w/ a sony pcm-d50.

Metal safe deposit box lock and unlock various. This sounds offmic to me, at least the parts recorded from outside the box, probably because i confused recording from front or back on my h2- and yet i don't hear my own breathing. Anyway it's still good for anything but a cu.

A clothes dryer makes a mechanical noise, because of a cloth which knocks against the edge, making loud noise. Rhythmic and metalic. Here recorded from the corridor next door, in mono, with h5+sgh-6. Other perspectives available on my profile.

Two metal creaks/groans that could be used for a large swinging gate or haunted house effect. Recorded from a metal sign rotating on a pole during a lightly breezy day.

An alternative "riser" with a strong suspenseful atmos and cold metallic tones. Originally edited from a stretched and filtered sound of a bed frame being hit. I imagine, however macabre, the lasting shot of a character demise or a shocking sound cue for particularly transgressive notions.

Rings chimes passed through strega both seqeunced by 0-ctrl. Effects, haible tau phaser, erbe-verb, qmmg in "both" modus, maths envelop, triggered by 0-ctrl. Mimeophon, seqeunced karplus-strong by 0-ctrl. Panning by x-pan. Lots of audio spaghetti, but rough and al dente. Something to get your teeth into. . . For morphagene fans - rendered in reaper with markers placed. Enjoy!.

I let off fireworks inside a silo. Unfortunately the best audio i got was from the gopro inside. Lighter sounds captured for the mct - physical computing subject. It was capture with a small speaker as the input, capturing the sound of an empty lighter. The small speaker was plugged by alligator clamps in a 9v battery. After that i've processed the sounds a bit with a pinch of reverb, delay and some compression.

I've created this sound for my project by layering a lot of sounds together, since i couldn't find it here. This one has more metal impact at the end. Feel free to use it :). Comments and ratings welcome :).
