That sound was recorded in mai 2016 inside an old watermill house in bavaria, where the old waterwheel still drives a wooden gear with cogwheels. Originally that watermill had several purposes like hammering, sawing, pressing oil from different fruits or producing paper.

A 3-inch folding pocket-knife opening and closing. Recorded very close to the microphone. Makes a snick/click sound. The sharp blade folds into a steel housing so the sound is metal on metal. Recorded: august 2014, with android voice recorder (mono), inside/evening in very quiet room. Noise reduction with audacity.

I´ve recorded this sound produced by a large water wheel of 4 meters diameter, in the historical part of augsburg bavaria, part of town where early industry and work shops used water energy for different purposes. This water wheel does not drive any gear any more, it is just for to give an impression of that old water driven industry. The wheel is driven by one of many former industry channels, small rivers through that part of town.

This is a collection of public domain sounds for easy transfer onto pocket operator po-33 sampler. (the po-33 splits one sound file into a kit of 16 sounds. Hence why a sample pack like this is appreciated). All sounds found here on freesound. Org under the cc0 / public domain licensing. Https://freesound.
