For "young frankenstein" i recorded three cast members howling. For play back, i'd vary speakers, delay, volume and echo effects to get a nice surround and spooky sound, that sounded a little different each time.
Early morning collection of rubbish by the binmen. You can hear the truck moving slowly down the street and the men wheeling the bins around as well as the bins being tipped into the back of the truck.
Leaves-recording with: dynamic glissando, frecuency glissando, panning and acceleration sounding at the same time with a noise. Ends with a white noise which starts at 0 hz and grows until 7500 hz and go back again at 0 hz.
Rolling luggage back and forth on a concrete floor in a basement. Medium close, far, close. Recorded with the zoom h6 stereo mic at 90 degrees. Minimal editing, just some crossfades.

This sound of two pieces of glass friction against each other is torture for many, at least pain or unbearable for sensitive ears. Played back with powerful treble speakers , you would enjoy all shouting 'eeeeeeeeeee. . . . Stop it!'.

Placing a six-ounce can of catfood on the counter and pulling the metal top off by peeling it back. The last sound is the can lid being parked on the counter.
Couldn't fine just the right terrified screams for my purposes so i enlisted my daughter to help me create it. I have gotten some great sounds here so i am giving back to this great resource!.

So there's a slightly back story here. So i was visiting a blank lot super frustrated and i picked up a brick from a reserved pile and smashed it onto the ground. Hopefully nobody even noticed.

First i used an ipad to make a video recording (with sound) of a glass of sparkling water. Then i played that back on the ipad and recorded it with a zoom h2. Cleaned it all up in audacity.
