I had to make a background track of roman senators talking for a comedy radio theater production. I recorded myself 5 times in different voices (other than my own) and got this track. There's a dumb senator in there, an old man senator, and three other random senator voices. :). You may do whatever you like with this sound. . . No attribution required, although i'd appreciate it if you would! :). Comments are always appreciated! :). P. S. Try to see if you can tell what the dumb senator is saying. . . That was the one that always got my friends laughing. Hint: it starts out with something like this (duuuhh) does any-body know what 'appened to julius caesar? well i see he died, but who knows? etc. Then he starts talking about how dumb he is and how everybody should imitate him because he's so dumb. . . Etc. :). All of the voices are done by me and none of these voices here are my normal voice. Xd.

This is a sound i made in audacity by recording myself going "vvvvvvvvvvvvvv. . . " on two separate tracks and slowing them both down by 95% and adding a little bit of reverb. I think it's sort of convincing but i think it would be better if the pulse of the samples being copied a bunch of times kind of gives it away. Feel free to do what you like with it.

This sound is a pitched down recording of a metal knife striking the prongs of a metal fork. I added some reverb and adjusted the eq to make it sound like distant swords striking each other. This was used to simulate the ambient sounds of cutlasses in a pirate battle. In addition to clashing swords, this track could be adjusted to mimic the sounds of a blacksmith working at his anvil or flint and steel in lighting a fire, among other sound effects.

While creating an ambient haunted house track, i created 4 slightly different versions of a grandfather clock chime by layering tube bells, hand bells, and a vibraphone at varying dynamics and articulations in musescore 2. 0. The chime rings at a b2. I obviously had a clock in mind when creating these sounds, but you could also use this as a singing bowl, a bell or gong, or as any number of sound effects.

Just a long, reverberating and multi-faceted fart sound made with my ample arm, sock over the microphone, in a small sound booth. No extra noises. Editted a few together from different tracks to create the 'overlapping' effects of the smaller ones, added a few effects, and was used in a 'toon of mine (kind of 'butthole of the world' volcano going off, suffice to say). Not as wet sounding as i thought it was going to be, though. Can be cropped, etc.

This is a short sample from a noise track i just completed. It sounds a lot like someone screaming/roaring into a microphone, but it's actually a roland juno-6 played through various fx pedals (boss metal zone, boss xtortion, boss me-30 on ring mod setting, danelectro fish & chips, and a sprinkling of various other fx pedals throughout the recording). Tempos from 90 - 185 bpm totally loopable! break those rythms down girls! (and boys!) oh i love the acid jazz and the drunks. They rule!.

I recorded this with my yamaha pocketrak at the paramount theater in seattle on feb. 29th, 2016 with one track duplication. This is the applause for stewart copeland and the seattle rock orchestra. Copeland scored the music for the silent version of 'ben hur' and the show was great as you can hear from the final applause. This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. They really are damned annoying when they do it, but i get a laugh out of my version. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak with one track duplication and edited in sony vegas. I needed a sound fx of a dog scratching itself for a 3d animation, so i did this foley recording. First i tapped a bunch of keys to simulate the tags jingling. This racing vehicles recording 2 track. It might be viable for use in racing and driving video games. But over the past few years, games emerged as some of the top-selling products in video and computer gaming. The main focus in such a project would be on generating a score by merging a few sounds in the background of the soundtrack (such as bumping or breaking) with specific vehicle sound effects (such as braking). Loops would be used to affect pre-composed music, using live data to change the mix and instrumental direction (such as the dynamics, texture or timbre), or even the pitch, rhythm or tempo), moreover, the musical soundtrack for racing vehicle gameplay could be stored in a memory card to use in digital sport car sounds unit that convenient sound effects according to the processes, which is essential to participate in the training driver by granting the user with more information. This file is a 6-channel 24-bit flac file encoded using ffmpeg from the raw wav files exported from the original ardour session. There are several issues with this recording however:. 1. The tracks seem to drift, because the individual audio interface clocks were not in sync. The proper way to record multitrack audio is using a single multichannel audio interface - but i didn't have one. 2. There's either x-runs or some usb transfer issues creating small glitches and dropouts in various tracks her and there. Don't know why did this happen, as we've been tracking the real drummer's performance without these issues. Now - fixing these issues manually would be an insane amount of work, but i hope maybe someone has means to either solve them with programming a special tool, or know a tool that could fix these, and make this recorded session ready to be sliced as a drumkit for say - drumgizmo. There's some really good stuff in here - an i was able to cut and mix some really nice drum samples, that i've been using for years, but it's not ready to be fully sliced for maximum flixibility. The instrument was played by myself - it's a drumset by pearl (don't remember the details), owned by the drummer of a band i recorded this with. The band was called small hint - hence the drumkit name. We were recording an ep, and i used some free time left to capture this as well. The ep was never finished and we disbanded soon after. Regarding fixing the issues - here's what i think needs to be done:. 1. I think each hit would have to be automatically phase-aligned on all 6 channels, to correct for the drift. 2. I think it should be possible to automatically detect clicks by simply watching for a sudden change in amplitude between adjacent samples - marking bad areas and then using something like audacity's repair effect to interpolate the waveforms. I think the glitches have much steeper changes in amplitude than even the drum transients, so it should be possible to differentiate between those automatically. If you found a way to fix at least some of these problems - please let me know!. If you've made some "remixes" on freesound - i'd also love to know that. Apart from that - sample what you can out of this and make some sick drum tracks!.
