I sat on the steps of "old new york" on the backlot of fox studios in los angeles on december 20th and recorded this ambience track. Not lots going on, but a few crew people walking by and some forklifts, etc. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, sound devices 702t.

Sound recording with a superlux above the 4 lanes of the le mans ring road during rush hour. Right lane in right channel and left lane in left channel. Prise de son avec un superlux au dessus des 4 voies de circulation de la rocade du mans en heure de pointe. Voie de droite dans canal droit et voie de gauche dans canal gauche.

This recording was made at a canal when it was reasonably dry. The canal has a road running parallel to it and above it. The side of that road has a largish (30cm?) pipe that drains water into the canal. I made this recording by holding my zoom h5 portable recorder in this pipe, and recording with the inbuilt stereo pair of microphones. You can hear the traffic passing above with the zoom of the occasional fast truck, but it's muted and it's echoing around the pipe. There's a hollow rumble running through the whole track. I made the recording in august (spring) of 2021 in brunswick west, australia.

American interstate highway traffic recorded from the side of a four-lane concrete roadway. The passing trucks have a sort of rocket-like flange from their tires on the surface.

This is a sound essay comprised of five 1-minute recordings. Seagulls and other birds are present throughout. Airplanes are heard at 2:07 and 4:22. Carpenters and other workmen are heard more or less throughout. Cars and trucks pass by frequently; trucks beeping as they back up are also heard. It was a foggy day, so a foghorn can be heard occasionally. Recorded on sony cybershot dsc-hx9v. Location: portland, maine (usa). Date: october 25, 2022.
