This is my baritone guitar, with a mute under the strings at the bridge, to give it a percussive distorted sound. I've played a scale so it can be used as a samplepack.

Experimental sadism waterboarding a poor cello just for fun. Using makenoise gear to experimentally change the sound to muffle. Rendered in reaper @48khz 32 bit fp with markers for all you morphagene fans out there. Enjoy the muffling waterboarded feeling. . .

Self explanatory. An empty sound for the 'two minute silence' on armistice day on 11th november each year. This sound has a creative commons 0 license: you don't need to credit me when using it.

In this sample you hear a recording from inside a well sound insulated room, directly under the roof of a house. Strong rain hints the roof and produces low frequency muted sounds. In the background you hear the constant noise of the rain, coming through the window. There are also a few raindrops hitting the glass of the window. The sample was recorded using the built-in stereo microphone of a zoom h4n recorder. It was slightly processed to remove unwanted low and high frequencies which were not related to the actual recording. This, my dear friend, is ils - infinitely loud silence. Play some other sounds and then play this, and you'll know why i call it this way. It's created by a bug present in lmms, a free program for electronic music production. Actually this sample can't reproduce the ils phenomenon, that creates a dc offset so big, that it outnumbers any other signal getting out of the same audio interface and the result is silence. It's a silence that is masking other sounds. Mind-boggling. Nasty bug. All this sound can do is cause some distortion, probably because 24-bit sound can be only as loud as 0db. 32-bit floating point should be able to get louder, but still i don't think any sample file would be able to reproduce this product of error.

Just some quick piano background for the videos, i originally used it to put on a video of some diy stuffnot so very proud of it, but i think that will do if using in a simple projects. That's why i'm giving it away for free. :) hope that helps!.

The original sound (http://www. Freesound. Org/people/crashoverride61088/sounds/146933/) was edited in audacity to set a new sampling frequency and to change stereo to mono format.

This a free, 10 minute demo of extremely high quality silence. It is stereo and has a high (96000) sample rate, and is probably the best quality silence sample around. The poor-quality mp3 hosted on freesound is simply not enough. Download it and listen to the flac to hear it as it was intended. . . Ssshhhh. . .

This recording was made at a canal when it was reasonably dry. The canal has a road running parallel to it and above it. The side of that road has a largish (30cm?) pipe that drains water into the canal. I made this recording by holding my zoom h5 portable recorder in this pipe, and recording with the inbuilt stereo pair of microphones. You can hear the traffic passing above with the zoom of the occasional fast truck, but it's muted and it's echoing around the pipe. There's a hollow rumble running through the whole track. I made the recording in august (spring) of 2021 in brunswick west, australia.
