This is a recording of a church bell ringing before the evening service. Bell is playing a slightly flat b3 (around 240hz) with nice harmonics (very loud at d4). I was recording it on my laptop from the yard behind the church using two shure ksm32 large condenser mics and a rme fireface uc. Hpf at 60hz, no postprocessing.

I recorded my old didgeridoo in my home studio with an h4n. It is unprocessed.

A suspenseful sting with a lot of bass. Gave it a scifi feel with the flanger. Made for the audience to feel foreboding or suspense during the scene. Can be paired with an object or character to give the audience negative feelings towards who or what's on screen. Didgeridoo.

This is a less usual bird call for our neighbourhood, yet common enough in the rainforests of tropical north queensland.

This recording was taken at camp eureka, which is at yarra junction in victoria. It wasn't recorded in the bush, but there are plenty of trees at the camp and the bush is nearby. The recording is mostly birdsong. It was taken in the middle of the day during autumn. It was recorded using the built in microphones of a zoom h5 portable recorder.

I have a tiled square enclosed shower so the reverberation is crazy, have a listen to my other recording with the same didge and mic (titled didge. Wav) but in an open room for comparison.

At least 2 or 3 local species of native frogs in my neighbours pond. Recorded on a sony pd170 camcorder using a pair of sennheiser mkh-416 shotgun condenser microphones in a crossed stereo configuration. About 6 mtrs from the pond. Time was 10:15pm, december 2007 (keep an ear out for the old ford truck passing).

Zoomh4n blowfly flying around at the front door - some minor back ground noises and bumps. Not a fully clean recording but nice effect.

The roost is next to the bellingen river in on of the last remaining patches of low altitude rainforest in the region. Recorded using tascam pro dat with akg ck 98 shotgun microphone with p12-48 pre-amp, also known as akg se300b.

A brief summer storm that occured in my home town of perth on the 31st of january 2023, starting at around 12:30 am and going for about 10 minutes. I decided to quickly setup my +atat 2020 and put it just outside my roof under the patio to record the rain on the tin roof.

My small dog was running around outside and got pretty hot. When i brought her in, she began lapping up water at a fast pace. She's also a little sniffly so it got some nice sniffle noises in there too. I feel like this could work well for plenty of different character shots, from a monster, to a comedy-type shot of someone eating something like noodles, to a dog drinking water in an animation.
