This break beat was made from freesound percussion hits, with some percussive hits from sound generators in fruity loops studio which was used to sequence and then quite heavily compressed in realtime, with seperate effects applied to the kicks and snares. Recorded out wav at 44khz 16bit stereo ~ 140bpm.

A crowd noise created my a bunch of pupils talking about different things at the same time. Some parts were reversed to disguise the language (which was russian) and the actual meaning of words.

I eat rice cracker and sip coffee. I tried to make as much noise as possible. This is a test recording with korg mr-1. I recorded this sound at 1bit/2. 8mhz (dsd) and converted it into 24bit/44. 1khz (pcm). If you could listen to the raw dsd file, you might think you were here with me. Unfortunately, i can't upload dsd version, so i chose 24bit pcm for keeping better quality. Reality was lost to some extent, but i think you can feel the touch of the original one.

This is a beat i made using the percussion presets form fab filter 1 cm synth for a track i was writing. Each hit was then loaded into abletons impulse drum sampler and tweaked for my pleasure. The snare was subject to some serious stretching,which gives it a rasping sound!fab filter 1 really is a simple but very useful synth.

Recorded for "the prawnlounge" radio show ( my show ) on then bondi beach 88 fm radio station sydney australia april 2002,one sunday morning outside the rear of hotel bondi in the backlane after a big saturday night party. The council truck receives 2000 + bottles. . . . Crashing. . . The sound of breaking glass deluxe ! sorry about the voice a few seconds before the "crashendo". . Hope you dig it.
