It's the 80s and i'm about half-way through making a punk/new wave party mix tape when my turntable starts repeating itself. Unwilling to to back and re-record the mix, i batted the needle around on the record for half a second and stopped the tape. This is the part that isn't recognizable as "hey, st. Peter!".

I stood under the transmission lines with my olympus ls-7 recorder in nw ohio to get the sound. According to a map i found online, the lines are indeed 765,000 volts phase to phase, four lines bundled for each phase.

I needed a sound fx of a dog scratching itself for a 3d animation, so i did this foley recording. First i tapped a bunch of keys to simulate the tags jingling. Then i scratched my pants to the timing of first track. Feel free to use this for any purpose, including commercial use. Small wind-up toy being wound up and allowed to walk by the mic. The wind-up key is then abused a bit, making a sound not entirely unlike a scratching record (but not much like one, either).

This is a long sample of me hitting, scratching and rolling all sorts of stones against one another, somewhere in the moroccan desert. The sounds are pretty good quality, recorded with a sony pcm-d50.
