They do a radio check test every thursday night, and i recorded this from my police scanner! they call various federal agencies around southeast texas, but this is just a sample of a decent reply. A horrible sound for a contest, created by paulstretching the sound of an old photo-slide scanner six times, then slowly layering it on top of itself up by a semitone every second and adding reverb. Please comment on where you intend to use the sound, and feel free to post a link to the work where you used it if you want (i enjoy watching/listening to anything you create!). The sound was recorded using a "h1 zoom v2 recorder". Originally edited using audacity and paulstretch on 25th september 2016. Note: audio quality is always better when downloaded.

Based upon "beep. Wav" by bsumusictech. Background noise removed, normalized to zero, clip includes just the beep, and a light reverb applied to keep it from sounding too harsh. Just an mri type scanning machine sound i made using a vocoder and a synth, feel free to use it in any of your projects.

Using a variety of 1980s radios connected via a headphone output to the computer, i tuned in - across the entire bandwidth - of the mw and lw channels. I also captured the static hiss of those bands, 'dead air'. There are small clips of various stations along the way but i was looking for that 'tuning in' sound that was so familiar when radio was the central part of every teenager's life.

Bass warning!a 13second sinewave, the tone sweeps up from exactly 20hz to 190 hz then stops. It was recorded in logic pro & i use it from time to time to do sub sweeps. If your speakers are loud please don't have them cranked up without hearing low first.
